I have been defending Bradley so far this season, but I have to admit, he was a let down on Sunday - lots of excuses and I'm afraid to say not enough results so far - needs a good Jerez - there really are no excuses now.

Hang on, we can criticise if we want to! Yes Cal does have 'barriers' to success (15-20bhp down) etc etc, but Marquez could easily say "Its my first year, 4th is ok" or Rossi "I'm 34, too old to challenge for victory" - but they dont, they are focussed only on winning - Cal was running with Marquez and Pedrosa last time out, and he qualified 2nd, so why did they both beat him?

Great driving by Kimi, both in the race and in the split second he realised SP was moving across, many other drivers wouldn't have had the car control and reactions Kimi showed to come away (almost) unscathed. That was a DNF waiting to happen, you dont finish every race since the start of last year without being a fantastic driver.

Thought i'd see a lot of cal-praise on this thread but I'm pleasantly surprised - his bike at the moment is clearly as good as VR/JL's - do people really think he'd have wiped the floor with JL if he had his bike? No way. Unfortunately he's happy to be 'fighting' the factory bikes (read 'following') rather than getting in the mix and passing them - no excuses Cal, he was faster than Dani in practice and qualy, and Dani had no grip... he should not have been behind him at all!

Great ride... no surprise really. Highlights the difference between him and others that he fought tooth and nail right to the line against VR, you might be able to beat him but you will have to fight for it!

Amazing! Cannot add anything to what has already been said - really impressive. I think he knew he had to mix it with JL from the start (like Laguna 08) to have a chance of victory, hence the early desperation... once he got settled he looked fantastic, and you just always have a feeling he will come out on top of close battles! Forza Vale!

@efi - totally agree, Cal isnt the hero people think he is. Yes he's quick on his day but so are all these guys - its consistancy over a season that counts and Cal hasnt had that much over his whole career. I'm a bradley fan and think he'll be pushing Cal come mid-season, until then, its all about learning and not crashing.

Either Bianchi is a wonder-kid or Chilton does not deserve to be in F1... at least he didnt put it in the wall or gravel while van der Garde made a few mistakes - but Chilton has to show more speed soon...
