Here''s to next year Nicky!
There are few races coming up that he''s always been good at, so let''s hope Michelin can get it together and give Hayden a couple more podium finish in his last few races with Honda. For all his loyalty he gave them through his years, Honda lost a good one! But I guess it was the bike development that dictates a lot of the rider''s placement. Dani is more of an ideal rider for the Honda, and if Dani can win races with it, of course Honda will support him. But they burnt their bridges with Nicky, for sure. It''s going to be funny thinking of Nicky as anything other than a Honda man.

Let''s hope that Ducati is a beast again next year!

In response to the comparative lap times with last years. They tightened up the third corner and made it more technical, but they got rid of a moderately fast chicane so now there's more of a curved straight. All in all not a huge difference in speeds. Even though the current layout is more similar to the original Misano layout, I prefer last years design.

I do agree with you though, layton. On the track Casey can sometimes be as boring as a Formula 1 race. @_@ I do wish they'd tone down on more of the electronics, though. It's getting too easy to ride some of these bikes...

Fact, the Ducati is a monster of a bike. Fact, Casey is the only one talented enough to tame that monster of a bike (currently). Fact, your only a true champion until you can defend it. Casey is no Valentino. He's not as charismatic and definitely harbors a much different riding philosophy. But hey, he's a nice kid. I've met him briefly in the Laguna Seca paddock last year, he's a genuinely nice guy. But on the track, he's a perfect adversary for Vale. Just what the doctor ordered... And just to set the record straight, I'm a Rossi fan through and through, but I can appreciate when someone pulls of 1.34s lap after lap and no one can quite touch him...

It''s good to see Casey''s injury hasn't slowed him down an inch! He''s just pullin' them off like it's nobodies business! C'mon Vale, how's it gonna look being beaten by a handicap? I was watching Casey via Live Timing and 3 minutes left he pulled off 0.178 in the first sector, then down 0.259 in the second, and a whopping 0.441 by the third. By this time I was eagerly anticipating a possible 1.33. But oddly his timing never updated past the fourth sector. I couldn't of imagined him going into the pits after such a scorching lap... perhaps a crash? Could anyone enlighten me?

Not exactly like Brno, but Vale was on him like a dirty shirt! Don't be surprised to see this man's name on top of the time sheets in the next 3, to 52 hours.

They're only happy because of the money all those 100 000 people spent. As anything else besides the organization, I'd say the race was a failure. And the turn 11 grandstand couldn't see the track? Couldn't an organizer sit on the stands beforehand and see for themselves? That seems quite unprofessional. Bah. It's the cars that need changing.... and the debate continues... P.s. To no one in particular, why do people call the F1 drivers 'pilots'? I know F1 cars are more aircraft these days than automobile, but it has a steering wheel, gas and brake pedals, and 4 wheels touching the ground, therefore they are 'drivers'. No?
