Monaco a fantastic street race?!? If you're a fan of parades...... Plenty of people don't 'get' oval racing and that's fine. But Monaco is only on the calendar BECAUSE its Monaco. The cars have long since outstripped the circuit. As said before.....lap one, turn one......the top three were decided. Talk about boring.

Pit stops determine.....control tires...tough to pass.....rev-limited engines. The EXACT same things are said of Formula 1. Except at Indy - after 500 miles -the top ten were only 7.3 seconds apart.... compared to today at Monaco - that was the distance between first and second. (actually.....Barichello was 7.6 secs back) Monaco's top three was decided at the first turn of the first lap. Done. Drama over. Castroneves had been written off. Wheldon was nowhere all day. Danica languished in the bottom of the top ten all day. To a lot of people - yeah, it looks boring. IMHO - and this isn't ridiculing anyone - pay closer attention and you'll realize there is a LOT more going on.
