Everyone has some issue on race day, whether they admit it or not. It's almost total lack of a good attitude that Stoner's detractors really latch onto, and I hate to join the crowd, but I may have to.

I've been saying it for a while now, but fully electric bikes like the Ep1c are the future of motorcycling. All reviews I've read of current battery bikes emphasize the handling and engine tractability benefits of eliminating a fast-moving, heavy crankshaft, etc. While the packaging is a long way off still, and the engine speeds will increase, one day we're all going to bemoan the millions of dollars wasted in MotoGP on combustion electronics, etc. The only thing constant is change.

MOTOGP » Ben Spies: We have a very competitive bike

We all know Spies can ride and race, but he needs to show more than just flashes of brilliance this year. He needs to gain a little more raw pace to really keep up. Here's hoping his races start as well as they usually end, like at Assen and Jerez last year. He just needs to do it more.

I've always liked the Camel Yamaha. It's sorta retro and a racebike needs a loud paintjob. Btw, it doesn't make me want to smoke at all.

I know it's somewhat unpalatable, but what if they just had a standard front and rear wing, a maximum width/length, and let them go ape**** with the rest? It's a huge compromise, but I'm willing to see what would happen...
