Mercedes bought Ilmor Engines in 2001 and renamed it Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains. So they are Mercedes engines. It really all comes down to who pays the bills anyway, regardless of the company or product. Btw, Ilmor Engineering is a different incorporated branch

So far we have no real idea of what we're going to see, and everyone's spewing vitriol at Ducati. Even if they do abandon their beloved L and trellis, as long as it wins races who cares. It would be more disrespectful to Ducatisti to make us keep swallowing something that obviously hasn't worked well up to now.

I don't think anyone really cares what layout the bike is as long as it looks good and actually wins races. That's what a real Ducati does.

It won't take long for Boullier to start piling on him and possibly more than just threaten removal. If Kimi wasn't already established, with the ego to go along, I'd even worry about him. It's starting to look like a bad career move to go to Renault.

I was worried when he got injured that it would be career-altering. He can't afford to sit out too long. There's only a limited amount of time everyone has to break into the top, and I can only hope it won't be too late by the time he's back, assuming he does return (here's hoping).

Oh my god. Half way through, i'm thinking, god, bad race, bad season, big surprise. Huge surprise. Ben Spies was robbed, and I mean that in the best way possible. I swear that Honda had an extra "detonate" button, last race ever for that engine...
