MotoGP » Colin Edwards to retire at end of 2014

Regardless of the fact that he never won in MotoGP, imo Edwards is one of the few riders who can look back at his career as successful with nothing to regret or be ashamed of. As far as I recall, while he's never been the outright fastest rider out there, he has always been called a valuable development asset to his teams, especially for establishing a solid base for the machine.

MotoGP » Rossi, Marquez, Hayden pay tribute to Edwards

Regardless of the fact that he never won in MotoGP, imo Edwards is one of the few riders who can look back at his career as successful with nothing to regret or be ashamed of (let's just overlook Assen 2006). As far as I recall, while he's never been the outright fastest rider out there, he has always been called a valuable development asset to his teams, especially for establishing a solid base for the machine.

F1 » Malaysian Grand Prix preview

I know I'm an insensitive jerk for this, but I'll plow onward with an actually article-relevant topic: Is anyone here seriously not going to watch this weekend's race because of the new engine sound? If so, I hope your absence will force those involved to produce some actual racing worth watching so we can forget about such a stupid issue.

F1 » Hamilton looking for home win in Malaysia

Not to start vitriolic ranting, but I'm convinced that Lewis's constant, almost obsessive focus on outside factors is a big reason he hasn't won more than one championship (and in some ways lost him the 2007 WDC). I know racers generally acknowledge sponsor relations, etc., but Hamilton way overemphasizes these sorts of things. He gets distracted quite easily from his actual job, imo.

F1 » Bottas ‘angry’ at own error

Pretty much everything around Williams has been looking good, both literally and figuratively. You really can't buy the amount of good press they've been getting lately, and this can only lead to more sponsorships, and more development money as the year goes on, in my opinion. After watching F1 for over 10 years, this is really good to see, at least so far.
