RECOMMENDED COMMENT
21 agree.

Phil, people said after some of his overtaking moves (mainly the one on Kimi at Monza)last season that he wouldn't be doing it again this year. Proved all those nay-sayers wrong didn't he?
What's wrong with being aggressive, didn't do a certain Ayrton Senna or Micheal Schumacher any harm, did it? How does that saying go? If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen, Robert!

Toyota targets Kimi, Kubica.
There's quite a lot of rubbish being written here, mainly JJJ's comment about Panasonic being Polish and S.Alec's comment about Kimi setting the McLaren up for Hamilton!! The latter's just the funniest thing I've heard in ages. Kimi can't set a car up for himself, let alone anyone else. Kimi is one of my top 3 drivers in F1 (Hamilton and Alonso being the other two...), but he's hardly known for his work ethic, is he Mr Alec??

FIA announces Renault verdict
12 agree.
So the team conspired to alter the result by asking Piquet to crash yet are allowed to keep the race win and monies won? This decision is a joke. I have no wish for Renault to leave the sport, but surely they deserved at least was a fine of equal magnitude to the one McLaren got and the win removing? Good to see Briatore banned for life for arraging this, once a cheat, always the cheat.

BMW follows Honda out of F1
1 agrees.
Can't say I'm over surprised and can see (as do others here) Toyota and Renault going before 2010. Berni, you said they should just supply engines. I hope they do, but I read somewhere that they spent 10s of millions MORE when they just supplied Williams (though the engine rules have now changed, my arguement becomes invalid I suppose!!). Whem Honda withdrew posters here said maybe the Manufacturers era was coming to an end. Looks like it might happen sooner than later. I bet the guys at Cosworth will be rubbing their hands with the possibility of supplying even more teams in 2010!!

Hamilton out as red flag ends Silverstone Q1.
6 agree.
7 disagree.
I'm sick and tired of posters saying Hamilton hasn't proven himself in an average car. What's this years MP4-24? I'd say worse than average, and he's had some fairly good results earlier in the season (18th to 4th at Melbourne, for example). These posters always say 'like Alonso at Minardi'. let me remind you just how many points Ferando scored in 2001. None, zero, zip, nill. Best result - 10 and that was the last of the finishers. The main reason he was destined to go to Renault was the fact Renault's team manager was also his manager. Alonso is a great driver, but then so is Lewis.

French MotoGP - Qualifying times.
Anyone remember last year's French GP? Pedrosa was consistantly fastest all weekend and looked a shoe-in for the win. Come Sunday, Rossi smoked 'em, good style. Happened at Jerez a couple of weekends ago too, but with Lorenzo looking certain for a win too, if my memory serves me right.........

Ferrari chief blames 'bad rules', 'presumption' for slump
That's not what I said at all Mark. McLaren have developed their car to a point where Lewis can race with it, which is more than Ferrari have managed. I'd say Kimi and Felipe are just as talented in a good car as Lewis is, but stick them in a car that isn't so good I believe they become 'lazy'. They just trundle around to get go the finish, they won't make a slightly risky overtake to go from 10th to 9th, for example. THAT'S what's set Lewis apart in my eyes.

Spot on comment Sasha. Ferrari have nothing to blame but themselves. McLaren have developed their car to allow Hamilton to show all the haters they're talking rubbish! Ferrari have appeared to have gone back to the days when they had the best drivers, but crap cars. God, I'm SO pleased! Even the management are so disillusioned, just think what that must be like for Kimi and Felipe.

OK Heikki beat Lewis in China, but that was only because Lewis was giving it 100% every lap and that sometimes was more that the car was capable of. Sutil overdrove the FIF1 (shame he crashed), but at least Hamilton was able to keep it out of the barriers!
