Phil, people said after some of his overtaking moves (mainly the one on Kimi at Monza)last season that he wouldn't be doing it again this year. Proved all those nay-sayers wrong didn't he?
What's wrong with being aggressive, didn't do a certain Ayrton Senna or Micheal Schumacher any harm, did it? How does that saying go? If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen, Robert!

Dolphin Boy, how did you used to record things before, when you had a VCR? If you have Sky, you can't record the Red Button feed easily. If you have a freeview box (they're only £10 nowadays and around £60 with a PVR), you can. You set your video/PVR just like you used to in the old days and tell your family not to turn the freeview box over. Not rocket science, is it??

I would take the Eurosport team over the BBC's any day, but as a realist know what I'm going to get this season. I'm a shift worker, working every other weekend, and watched the BBC feed whilst at work.. Absolutely nothing wrong with Parrish and Cox, they're just not as good as Moody, Mamola and Ryder, that's all. Hell, I'd even record both feeds so I could watch the race again with a different view of the racing. Like I said earlier, we'll soon get used to it and wonder what we were getting our knickers in a twist over.

FrankG, if you read the article properly (if at all...) you'd see that in 2009 cars are not allowed any part of the exhaust system protruding from the bodywork

Like people say, it's not strictly illegal in the sense that they are only pre-season testing. I can't see the point in running something that will obviously be illegal once the racing because with testing being as restricted as it is now. It's different for teams that have yet to reveal their 2009 cars, but for the team who were the first to unveil their car, I can't see what benefit it'll bring.

My only concern with the BBC taking over Moto GP coverage in the UK is this, when there's a clash with F1 which thankfully doesn't happen very often, BUT when there is, there's no doubt in my mind that F1 will win the battle. Please Belinda explain to me how the BBC will deal with aclash of F1 and MotoGP events at the same time, what's the plan? Posted by Gorgeous George SHE ALREADY DID!!!!! As I said before her,MGP and F1 races haven't been run at the same START time for the last 2 seasons. Sorry to be stroppy, but please read comments before posting!!!!!

(cont) Strangely enough I found the testing on the Saturday I was following live on motogp.com more interesting because it was more representative. I haven't missed a GP on Eurosport for the better part of 20 years (well except the 2 or 3 races in 1991 when Screensport got Eurosport shut down....) and thank Keith Huewen, Julian Ryder, Dennis Noyes, Toby Moody, Randy Mamola, Neil Spalding and anyone I've forgotten for keeping me entertained for all those hours for that time. Just because the BBC have decided to keep their (in my opinion, inferior, but just as knowledgable)commentary team isn't going to stop me watchig my favourite sport.

Ramajama (SIC) it's obvious you hate Eurosport, but what you miss is that during that 1 hour show, it was THE COMMENTARY that made it interesting... The magnificent 3 brought us all up to date on what was going in with the MotoGP world, all the gossip, the facts, the enthusiasm, the build up to the season ahead... Shame you can't appreciate the subtleties, a lot of us can, hence the outcry. Posted by done I absolutely loved the Eurosport commentary team and as I said in my first post will miss them greatly.I agree with everything you said after your 1st sentence.Despite the great team commentating, they still couldn't raise my interest in what amounted to a Qualifying session. Did any of you actually watch the pre season Jerez BMW (round 0) shootout? Great as it was to get a fix of our favourite sport, it was like watching paint dry!!!

Gary M, Sorry. the fanboy comment was aimed clearly at the 'well I'm gonna stop watching when Rossi retires' crowd. You do more to support the sport than 90% of posters here (me included) and by being willing to pay £70+ NOT to watch the BBC shows your enthusiasm. Apologies for any offence caused.
