MotoGP » Stoner pole before Mugello rain

Trevski - I never said Colin didn't want to, just he didn't. Of course he did have the disadvantage of being Rossi's team mate when he was at his most competitive, a position he's pretty blunt about describing as being a very distant second in the pecking order. I've found Casey very likable since I heard about him 125s in the UK and he's well liked in the paddock too. It's basically the British press creating controversy to sell magazines with simplistic garbage. The sad thing is people fall for it.

MotoGP » Spies, Lorenzo target Mugello podium

Both the factory Yamahas will be near the pace tomorrow, no surprise if they're both on the podium. Stoner is still the favourite but Jorge nows how to run a smart race and Ben has found his feet in the factory team. Throw (though hopefully not literally) Simoncelli into the mix and we're in for an interesting race. Though I can't wipe Pedrosa out as a dark horse for a podium either, he's improved every session and won here last year.

Mavrik15 the difference is that Colin never made the mistake of beating Valentino, thus he never was made a panto villain. It's happened to both Casey and Jorge - they had the temerity to beat him and both have been castigated by hordes of Rossi fans. Rather than have their achievements lauded they've been accused of being a moaner (it rhymes, how clever) and a fake show-pony and we've been told at length that neither can develop a bike. Frankly your opinion is worth what I paid for it - nothing. Have a nice day though...

Actual Pauly he said "any normal rider" and "JB and Rossi *may* sort it" - you seem to be the one misquoting. Also Troy seemed a little amused at what's happened, no doubt a reflection on his time with Ducati's MotoGP team, not his happiest or best looked after period from all accounts. He does seem very impressed by Casey though...
