WSBK » Sykes surpassing 2010 pace with 2011 Kawasaki

This is encouraging stuff - hopefully Tom will have a bike capable of being at the sharp end consistently next season. Like Mystic Meg says, I expect Tom to silence some critics next year - after a fortunate pole at Imola, it was great to see him leading the races for a decent amount of time, no balking, no mistakes, just riding the wheels off an inferior bike and keeping everyone behind him. The man is a class act.

WSBK » Official: Haslam to BMW in 2011

A bit of a shame for Ruben, especially as he seems to have crashed a bit less this year, but great news for Leon and BMW - they've both got a great chance of the championship next year. Also massive props to Francis Batta and Alstare for letting Leon go, an awkward situation handled with grace and class - maybe if Tardozzi's on his way to Yamaha, Batta can fit in at BMW too?

WSBK » Sykes: I feel like I’m in a dream!

A pair of amazing rides - huge congratulations to Tom and the team. If Kawasaki drop Tom it will be one of the most stupid decisions in WSBK history - both the other riders are crocked and Lascorz has no SBK experience, while Tom's been shouldering most of the development work and getting results the whole year. He deserves the ride next year more than anyone. Good luck for Magny Cours!

WSBK » Crutchlow sets MotoGP pace at Silverstone

Well done Cal! I hope he leaves the WSBK paddock next year either for MotoGP or Moto2. What's the point in staying on to win WSBK if MotoGP's where you want to be? It's like doing a degree in Japanese to learn German. Also, regarding the R1 - we've got a double WSBK champion (on two very different machines) and a WSS champion on the same bike and neither can make it last full race distance at race pace. Maybe the problem's not the riders...

WSBK » Kawasaki targeting Haga for 2011?

If Vermeulen gets a ride and Sykes doesn't, it'll be criminal. I love Haga and maybe he'd be worth it in a developmental capacity, but I'm unsure he's the best fit as a racer anymore. Both Sykes and Lascorz deserve a chance next year. If they're really serious about wanting to win in WSBK, it wouldn't hurt to have a quasi-works 'junior' team - having three or four factory spec ZX10s racing every weekend would help development no end...

MotoGP » Crutchlow first in line should Spies be promoted?

After watching Cal's interview with the BBC at the British GP, he looked as though he knew something. Cal's form on 600s in BSS and WSS is impressive, so I think he'd be a very strong choice for a Tech3 Moto2 ride, especially as Herve's been on record about not being best pleased with his current riders. His SBK form's been much more patchy, he's clearly got the raw speed, but I think he just tries to override the R1 (which looks like a handful) at times. I'd like to see Cal in MotoGP on an M1 (smaller, lighter bike?), I think he'd surprise a lot of people. Good luck to him whatever he does - I'm a big fan and I hope he gets to the MotoGP paddock before it's too late.
