True, we have heard it before, but how many of those guys came in their rookie year, set the record for poles in a row, and dominated so much? Oh, and on tracks they had never seen before?

Kawi hasn't been able to get a good race bike out in the world series, but in local series they have been doing very well. In Canada they've won the 600 and 1000cc series a couple years in a row. In the US they won suportsport a couple times recently, and almost won the superstock (750cc at the time) series with the 636 a couple years ago. They've also been doing well in Japan and a bunch of other local series. I wish they'd step up their international programs more too. It seems they deep national series more important.

Another reason to stop watching F1. It seems the F1 management is determined to drive away as many fans as they can.

Good to see riders Adapting. Both Nicky and Melandri are doing good so far with their new bikes. Dovi is lower then I expected, he has less of a change then the other guys because he''s still on a Honda, albiet a pneumatic valved one. Nicky matching Melandri''s race time is also suprising as Nicky had to adjust to bstones.

I doubt Nicky had anything to do with the paint, Ducati probably did that as a welcome to him.

I hope Bourdais keeps his seat for 2009, I'd like to see how he does with slicks. And who at STR has a fettish for drivers names Sebastian?

STR certainly seems to have sorted some things out. Good finishes for them last race and quick out of the box (though it's only Friday) this weekend.

I wonder if Honda didn''t give Nicky the Bridgestone choice he is likely going to Ducati, so they don''t want to help him get used to the tires?

I'm not a big Nicky fan, but I am sick of the people saying he didn't deserve his championship. He beat all the other 18 MotoGP riders in points, no matter the problems Rossi was having, he beat them all. He WAS the best rider in 2006 because he was the most consistant. As for him doing to Duke, I think it will happen, and I think Nicky will be happy there. The duke has tons of power, which he likes. His dirt track experience will be a bonus.

Hopper wasn't running the same tire as West, Hopper had a soft one on that burned up before the race was over, which caused him to drop like a stone. Before his tire started going off, he was ahead of Westy. Hopper and his crew take the blame for that, they gambled and lost. And West certainly does deserve credit for his excellent finish, but it can't be used as a proof that he is good enough to keep the seat.

Most of your points are ok DFH, but Kawi didn't sack Nakano. Nakano was worried because Kawi was the last factory to have a 800cc bike ready,so he jumped ship. It's a shame too, i really liked Nakano.
