F1 » Kate Walker: The broke funding the broke…

The bus driver in charge of that country (and his predecessor) have run it into the ground with their ridiculous economic policies. Inflation there is like nothing seen in 30 years. Venezuela was very rich with petro dollars and has managed to squander almost all of it in pursuit of state power and communist ideology. The stores are out of toilet paper, yet they are paying for Maldonado to run in Formula 1.

F1 » Brawn downplays fuel saving fears

I agree with 123f1. We already have a World Endurance Championship where drivers are forced to conserve resources over the course of a race. The rare pass for the lead is headline material and the race is all about tactics and strategy. Stands are empty and few people watch it. F1 should be about raw speed and bravery over a relatively short race. Limit the aero to make "clean air" irrelevant, up the horsepower and let the boys have their fun.

F1 » Schumacher 'surprised' by Mercedes form

Taipan: A reasonable person would be eating crow after your statements of the past year. But I would not expect the least amount of humility from you. Maybe you could work on your personality rather than critiquing the spelling of other posters on this site. It would seem to be a far better use of your time. Lewis is far exceeding expectations with a new team and a new car - a car that was getting lapped this time last year. He would have 2 wins now if not for the tire situation at Silverstone. If Lewis can do what he did in Hungary on a hot track, it won't be his last win this season. Enjoy it, Taipan.
