F1 » Hamilton remains the benchmark – Rosberg

Taipan: The only reason Lulu is the benchmark is the car, would he be the benchmark in the Ferrari or the Redbull or any other car? of course he wouldn't, he'd be fannying about mid grid sulking and blaming his team. The car is the reason that Nico has won the last 6 races, the car is the reason that Lulu won the last 2 championships, so stop patting yourselves on the back and just thank your lucky stars that you have your mitts on the most dominant car in F1 history.
I thought the Williams FW 14B did a pretty good job of dominance in 1992, oh and the FW15 in 1993, and don't even get me started about the Ferrari / Schumacher years, but then again I haven't got a bug up my ar$e about Hamilton .... but I'll wait for the backlash

F1 » Vettel slams “suicidal” Kvyat for driving “like a crazy”

Taipan: I think Vettel is pissed off because he was trying to avoid contact with Kimi but Kvyat's move made that impossible. BUT Kvyat had the right to go for that gap and Vettel over reacted to the move and I'm pretty sure Vettel knew he over reacted because he calmed down quite a lot by the time the press interviews were happening, probably because he'd seen a replay. Great drive by Vettel to get second though and a bloody good race, didn't expect to be saying that!
Blimey Tai, I agree with you, never thought I'd say that, haha have a good day

F1 » Hamilton on pole amidst qualifying shambles

Liam48: If Formula 1 want an elimination qualifying session then I have an idea. 25 lap qualifying race, the starting grid is set up in reverse order of the championship. After 3 laps the last car on track get eliminated, then the next lap the next car and so on. It would massively jumble up the qualifying order for the main race on Sunday and make it much more unpredictable and exciting. If you don't like the elimination just have the 25 lap race. That was just a though and it's something that's so radical it might work.
Would be fun to watch but probably too expensive (also because we'd have a lot of startline shunts with the slowest cars being at the front)
maybe a two by two rolling start!! at least they would all be at the same speed so may reduce the speed deficit for potential accidents ?
