F1 » Button hints at options beyond McLaren

British drivers always seem to end their careers on a low rather than a high I think, I'm not saying it's because they're past the sell by date at all before anyone kicks off, but certainly in recent years it almost seems to be a pattern !!! Coulthard spent his last year crashing ( not all his own fault )... Mansell uncompetitive McLaren... Herbert uncompetitive Jag .... Irvine numerous breakdown in the Jag .... Brundle unreliable Jordan.... Damon Hill uncompetitive Arrows ( except for once I think ) ..... hmmmm I could go on... any thoughts out there ?

F1 » Mercedes warned for Silverstone dummy pit

I don't remember any objections when Schumacher / Ferrari were doing the same, as I recall it was looked on as gamesmanship !!! how views change.... , if the FIA are serious about handing out penalties they need to start thinking about race bans and points deductions, starting with 2 minutes sat in the pitbox instead of faffing about with fines !!!! drive thru's and grid position penalties .... all the top teams / drivers can easily afford any fine handed out, Mclaren are still here after 100 mil euro fine, and they don't get much more expensive than that, and all the front runners can usually make up for lost positions thru strategy anyway, very rarely does it hurt them that much in my view .... and I do mean ALL drivers and teams, I'm not leaving anyone out OK

F1 » Danica Patrick not ruled out of Haas F1 plans

kosh naranek: “Danica Patrick is highly marketable and if anything we're very lucky that GoDaddy is giving us enough time to find a sponsor that she'll fit with, because she can sell anything. She has as much attention at the race track as any of the drivers so she's a very valuable person." Says it all right's all about the money! I would rather see Susie Wolf, Carmen Jorda, or even Simona de Silvestro (even though she's not very good), Shannon McIntosh, Cyndie Alleman...just don't like all the hype around Danica Patrick although she is probably one of the best current female drivers statistics wise.
irrespective of what the poison dwarf says I don't think any of the women on the circuit are good enough TBH, I don't mean that in a sexist way ... just not good enough for F1

F1 » Danica Patrick not ruled out of Haas F1 plans

Cris Zarate: The most over-rated driver regardless of sex... there are more qualified drivers out there, like likes of Kobayashi, Sutil or Van der guard... Even Susie Wolff would be a better choice, but since it's an American team, maybe their priority is an American driver.
If they want an American F1 driver, there is only one choice - Juan Pablo Montoya. JPM is as American as Frankfurters and Apple Tarts. :)
waaayyyyy tooo fat .... and nowhere near as fit to look at

F1 » Mercedes refuses to introduce team orders

richard: its an odd comment given their history. if there were no team orders, then why did they tell lulu to pll his finger out, other than to maintain the status quo of lulu first and nico second?
I don't suppose it was because LH was controlling his own race but when Merc realised that Vettel could get to Nico they advised LH to get his lap times down ?!!! seems to me it was a status quo, Nico couldn't get close without wrecking his tyres and Vettel said the same thing .... or am I being to logical ?
