F1 » F1 POLL: Does Schumacher deserve Suzuka grid penalty?

@ taipan, I don't entirely agree with you my friend, read ANY of my previous posts and you'll see I've NEVER jumped to defend Senna for some of the strokes he pulled,in my view he's the greatest driver ever and if you don't agree thats fine I don't have a problem with that, But I do take issue with the fact that you say the move he pulled on Prost Japan 1990 was worse than MS pushing Rubens up against the pitwall in either case someone could have been killed and NOTHING is worse than that, as I posted earlier all penalties should be harder to discourage reckless and dangerous driving to send out the correct signals to all drivers ... many thanks

F1 » F1 POLL: Does Schumacher deserve Suzuka grid penalty?

@ Schuey, wronggggggg ...... he attracts criticism because of his driving tactics and ethics, nothing at all to do with the championships, Ayrton Senna ( yes, my hero ) went above and beyond correctness and I believe he should have been penalised more than he was, MS has taken it to another level and I don't believe he got penalised enough quite frankly, what sort of message is being sent to the younger drivers when they see a multiple champion driving in a dangerous manner ?!!!!!

F1 » Hamilton stays silent on future

not sure I can agree with everything you say Bob,I was never much of a Button fan to be honest, He did walk into the lions den but lets face facts, the first year he got a driving lesson from LH, the 2nd year he gave LH a driving lesson ( although I do think LH deserved it with driving like a complete kn0bhead for most of the season ) and this year I don't see him beating the "lion" anytime soon, having said that JB was in the right car at the right time to win his championship ( incidentally the " no testing" rule is possibly the worst rule EVER )halfway thru that season, when ferrari and Mcl got their acts together, JB didn't win another race and only got his hands on the trophy because of the advantage he's gained at the start of the season, now before you go off on one,imo JB, since he joined Mcl, has got my total respect as a RACING driver, he's shown more agression in 3 years than he did at any time before, he drives with a lot of experience and puts it to very good use ...

F1 » Hamilton 'doesn't want help' from Button

quite honestly I actually don't have a problem with team orders but ONLY when the second driver has mathematically dropped out off the championship chase, that's why I was so anti MS and Ferrari and the way they behaved, when all's said and done the team get the same amount of points if the 2 drivers are running tandem irrespective of which drivers ahead of the other and in my view thats the way it should be

F1 » FIA issues engine mapping clarification

I stand to be corrected ok but this is what I read ......According to reports by BBC Sport the new rule asks teams to 'nominate any one engine map used in the first four races of the season as a reference map'. “Above 6,000rpm, the maximum engine torque may vary by no more than +/- 2% (from the reference map),” the clarification reads, “and the ignition angle may vary by no more than 2.5%.” my first comment here was after reading the above and my understanding of it is that Red Bulls mapping DOESN'T match the reference point after the 1st 4 races and if that is the case then the car is illegal !!! but then again I could still be missing the point sorry
