F1 » Hamilton 'doesn't want help' from Button

quite honestly I actually don't have a problem with team orders but ONLY when the second driver has mathematically dropped out off the championship chase, that's why I was so anti MS and Ferrari and the way they behaved, when all's said and done the team get the same amount of points if the 2 drivers are running tandem irrespective of which drivers ahead of the other and in my view thats the way it should be

F1 » FIA issues engine mapping clarification

I stand to be corrected ok but this is what I read ......According to reports by BBC Sport the new rule asks teams to 'nominate any one engine map used in the first four races of the season as a reference map'. “Above 6,000rpm, the maximum engine torque may vary by no more than +/- 2% (from the reference map),” the clarification reads, “and the ignition angle may vary by no more than 2.5%.” my first comment here was after reading the above and my understanding of it is that Red Bulls mapping DOESN'T match the reference point after the 1st 4 races and if that is the case then the car is illegal !!! but then again I could still be missing the point sorry

F1 » Vettel caned for conspiracy claim

hmmmm I wonder how these posts would be looking if a safety car hadn't come out and one of the cars got a high speed puncture resulting in serious injury or worse, wonder who Vettel would have dedicated his win to ? or would he have been saying that there should have been a safety car ? I know given the choice if I was a driver I'd like to think that concern for my safety was of greater importance than drivers saying theres a conspiracy to stop them winning .... suck it up little boy you'll get another chance

F1 » Hamilton warned to change approach

the car trying a pass to the outside of a corner puts himself at the mercy of the other car ...FACT, if that driver doesn't play ball then the overtaking driver has to be prepared to back out of the pass ....FACT, that applies to ANY driver in ANY situation, how many times have we heard James Hunt, Martin Brundle, David Coulthard and any number of race commentators make the same commments. In these posts I often wonder if the scathing remarks would be exactly the same if different drivers were involved

F1 » Wolff: Female F1 racer 'within a decade'

can't see it happening myself, well certainly not in a competitive way, but maybe for the dosh it could generate for a struggling team, but having said that I'm really against pay drivers what ever the gender quite honestly, I actually think it dumbs down the competition and prevents real talent coming through cos they can't raise the money, I remember back in the old days a driver had to win a championship, or at least be a runner-up, to progress to the next level, now it pretty much seems to be that driver A only has to have competed in a championship and scored a few points but he can produce a shedload of money, not in all cases obviously
