As usual, Barhnhart is a dummmy. There are cars sitting on stands that could be running right now in his precious series, Panoz DP-01 Champcars. Already designed,tested, ready to go. Wouldn't take much at all to fit the weak-suck Honda engine into one and go racing. They were designed for either engine, I understand, not just the Cosworth that Champcar used. Save a TON of money in development. But because its a Champcar icon, the IRL will have NONE of it. A shame, really.

If true, terrible news. No innovation, tracks still held at the point of a 30 millions dollar sanctioning fee-gun, megalomaniac Bernie still there....this could not be worse. We will still see neutered cars and even more neutered tracks. Max leaving is small consolation, very small.
