WSBK » WSBK Rider of the Year vote: 3rd

No surprises here. The top 5 picked themselves. Why did we have to vote?? Let's have a stab in the dark and pick 2nd.....Eugene and WOW let's try for #1.....could it possibly be Tom? I could be wrong, but this being a UK based site I would think I am right. Great effort by all riders, and because we voted them a certain position does not make them any better than the rider they sit beside on the grid pre - race, these guys put everything on the line for themselves and us as spectators. To bring it into perspective you should all read the story on Ant West (on this site) and then read the comments - some people actually thought that riders/racers were well paid. Good luck and congrats to the pole winner, and roll on Feb 2014!! Happy New Year all ye motorsport fans.

WSBK » PICS: Marco Melandri riding the Aprilia RSV4

@murph Let's leave Pippa right out of this. She has never been a glory seeker like Marco's woman. Pippa, to those of you who know her, is a straight up and down really lovely lady who has Eugene's interests at heart. She does not like the camera stuck in her face, chest, back end or any where else for that matter. I do agree with what you say, but let's just concentrate on riders.

WSBK » REMINDER: Revised WSBK schedule at Laguna

You can rely on the good old septic tanks to want to change a formula that has been working for years. Have they not screwed AMA? Now we have 2 races on 2 days.....I'm not saying I don't like the idea, but let's just do this 2 races on Sunday thing until the season and then change the format. It will be interesting to see how the riders / teams handle this - it will be a big benefit to all in race 1 as if the rider pushes too hard and bins it - the team has a full day (or near enough) to get it all put back together again. It'll be the same for riders - a full day to recover from bumps & bruises. The truth will be known after the 2nd race!

MotoGP » Eugene Laverty 'wants MotoGP with Aprilia'

I think this is a great move for both Aprilia and Eugene. Every year around this time the old rumour mill starts gaining momentum, and the talk about Eugene going to MototGP just rolls along slowly increasing in momemtum. You know the old saying - where there's smoke, there's fire. I certainly hope this is the case with Eugene. And answering previous posts about Guintoli - he is a fine rider and just maybe Aprilia want to take Eugene instead of Guinters - no one has said Guinters is a bad rider. Next question - has there ever been 2 brothers racing in MotoGP before & if so who, when? Do not count MotoGP/250/125 or MotoGP/ Moto2/Moto3 - ONLY MotoGP
