F1 » Wolff: Mercedes could loosen reins to enliven F1

Why should Mercedes feel bad and why is their dominance bad for the sport? This is nothing new ( Ferrari from 2000 - 2004, Red Bull from 2010 to 2013 ). It's not up to Mercedes to slow down, it's up to the others to catch up and if it was me spending the money I'd manage things so that the Mercedes brand gets "bang for it's buck". I'm not a Mercedes fan but they are doing what they are supposed to do - win races. True motorsport fans understand these cycles and keep watching in anticipation.

The problem is also F1 rules. Remember the last time we had turbo's? There were straight 4's, V6's, V8's, single turbo & twin turbo's, the configuration wasn't limited. Look at how fantastic it is in WEC where the different manufacturers have come up with completely different solutions, it's interesting. F1 - it must be V6 with a single turbo so the packaging also becomes similar ( read boring... )

MotoGP » Tributes paid to MotoGP star Marco Simoncelli

Very hard year for motorsport enthusiasts - Kubica's accident, Perez's accident at Monaco wasn't nice to see, the accidents at the Le-Mans 24 hour could've turned out so differently and then these last two weekends with Dan Wheldon and Marco. I just sat in front of the TV pleading "please... not again." Almost looking forward to the off-season this year.
