It seems that Hudson has spat his dummy out yet again... His ego just keeps getting in the way of business again and again.

Good riddance Hudson.

Corser is the best option for BMW - he can develop a bike like nobody else, although I'm not sure Reuben should be with him next season - as much as I like the guy, he needs to be on top machinery like the Duke to be up there. Hopefully he'll get some luck next season after two majorly unlucky breaks (literally.) I think the S1000 will get some trick bits and do better than this season. I think a podium's a realistic option for them, as long as the tires don't go to pot, which seems to happen quite often after some decent starts...

Mick - Brookes has probably signed with HM Plant again and I've got a feeling that Hill will be snapped up by Shaun Muir. Easton and Hill will be a formidable pairing next season, instead of Easton and Karl the boozehound. And the rumours are that Hodgson will be involved in the BMW effort next season, hopefully with Richard Cooper as I doubt Hodgson could do enough on his own to develop the bike, whereas Copper has already done plenty for BMW and has many years ahead of him.

Norge never shoots his mouth off and always gives a candid yet modest view from where he is at the time. I think that's what makes me like him more than Cal... Cracking season for Parkalgar - especially being the best Honda and taking the wins that Jonesy developed the bike for - he'll be well proud of the time wherever he is. But there's no shame being second to Cal and that rocketship of an R6! As said before, I still can't believe he's not been signed yet. He's had a couple of mistakes under pressure (Donington especially) but he's still a young un and has come back from riding an absolute donkey in GPs and let his riding do the talking.

Comparing this season to Hodgson and Xaus' season is a bit dumb. They were both on the same machinery in '03 and the only non-Ducati in the standings was Lavilla's Suzuki. This season has had 4 manufacturers taking wins, 5 different riders and another 6 taking podiums. This has been no Ducati cup like numerous other seasons when the fours have had to make up daft amounts of displacement. Yamaha have made a bike that has stood up to the Italian manufacturer in the Italian championship (kinda like 2002 all over again.) It was Nori's to lose and his fall in the first race was the final nail in the coffin, nothing to do with Fabrizio. Poor lad looked like he was going to spew up on the grid!

If Cal uses his head and doesn't drop it as much as he did on the HM Plant 'Blade, that team should be close to unstoppable next season (although Rea and Fabrizio will be up there too) with Toseland going for a third title too. I still can't believe that Norge hasn't been given a ride yet. He deserves one of the decent Moto2 rides (Ten Kate or one of the Moriwaki or Harris chassis'ed teams) after some of the rides he's had this year and some of the battles he's had with Cal.

Rob - if it weren't for Fabrizio taking Spies out a few rounds back then Haga would've lost it earlier. I'm surprised nobody's trying to blame Rea for Haga's sloppy riding at the first turn at Nurburgring too. Oh yeah, you must've caught your CAPS LOCK. Turn it off, I don't like people shouting at me - even if it is online pet.

Ken: Not to mention running out of fuel on the last lap at Monza too! All these idiots talking about "if Fabrizio did this" and "if Tardozzi made them do that" seem to be missing the point that Nori missed out after Spies crashed at Assen and had technical problems at Kyalami. If Spies' Dad was leaning to the left when he shot his wad or his Mum had her ankles round her neck, Ben would be a girl... Look in the history books in ten years time, 'Spies, Ben' will still be listed as 2009 WSBK Champ.

Yes mart. Last year was the first time he'd ridden a superbike in a year. You must've been watching Kiyonari and getting him mixed up with Rea this season.

The 5 points taken from Haga is nothing compared to the points Spies lost when the bog brush took him out... All these 'what ifs?' are really starting to get on my wick. Everyone seems to have forgotten the 25 points Spies lost at Monza when he ran out of juice and no-one ever harps on about '07 when Biaggi took out Nori in a podium position and Haga lost the title to Toseland by a couple of points. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Let's just concentrate on the racing, eh?

Shinya's an absolute gent, but i've not seen much from him this season to warrant keeping him next year when there's better, younger riders around. I hope he's fully fit too. We've seen too many riders coming back from injuries too soon this season...
