Ross is wrong. Honda have to prove they are able to build a car that is a world beater. In the last 3 seasons they have gone backwards, with the same driver, unless JB is just riding now and having fun with all the glitter. I have lots of faith in Ross, but can Honda deliver, I think not.

Gerhard is a very perceptive business man, and is right on with the situation. I agree that all of the team advertising and peripherals make the sport very expensive, including the way they work with epuipment and parts. So what he says about cost cutting is very true. Turning it into an Indy Car or Grand Am situation would detract from what F1 is truely about, because they are Micky Mouse, and should only be shown at Disneyland for the masses (ignorant). We will see how cleaver F1 people are !!!!

The hole case of customer cars is stupid. So many teams in the past have started with some form of customer car, and that has been what has made so many teams able to grow into so much more. We have also had the cases of teams starting there and going through many phases of growth and change of hands, and then eventually closing the doors. It is an ever evolving sport, and the most important is to get people started in it. It would also offset the costs to larger "dealers", is this not good sense???? Example RBR and STR, a good deal :) :) :) :)

Suddenly you can see all the "Game Boys" come out the wood work with stupid comments. I have followed F1 since in the '60s and it has always been a progressive sport, with great technology, I have also worked on recent F1 cars and they are fantascic. What FA says is absolute truth, why turn it into a "Mickey Mouse" show like Indy/Cart/IRL ? FIA will loose control and it will become Manufacturer run, let the good times come !!!

Suddenly we see all the people who have only started watching F1 middle of last year. They stopped playing computer and TV games and thought they saw a real world outside. Now they don't like the real world. Face it "boy gamers" you still have a lot to learn about talent and hard work. Don't believe all the B...S put out by the media, including bias reports from Crash.net. There are those who do unbias reports, and you have to read them, not what you want to read. This is a world wide poll, not just a bunk of "polarised poms".......

Good discusion !!! Just want to add, if not for MS rubins would have been world champion at least twice, a good number of points ahead of No. 3 each time. Also remember the end of year into new year Rubins did all the set up and testing, he came out at the begining of the year and walked all over MS. Ms is the King, but there are flaws in his armour.

It is time for a break away controling body, instaeda of people who use the sport as a tax break. People who buy things on credit are now being caught out in the new economic crunch, and it will happen to the people who now run our sport. To buy it on credit and to dump another debt on it as well as the interest repayments is commom commercial practice, but that is why the world economy is in the state it is. Time for a new start, let these people drown.

Having returned to Oz from Europe, I now have the Mege-Boost of Aussie V8 Touring cars getting a lot of exposure on TV, not a problem if you enjoy demolition derby type action. After 7 years away it seems less is done for real bad driving. But any way, What I querry is the need to race in Bahrain??? There were more track officials than spectators, shame don''t the Arab countries like anything else than F1???? And the cost to Sponsors ????

Straight away this shows why Toyota have not been competetive in the F1 circus. All of the top teams change all of this type of equipment for a race, inparticular if the car has had an off and looks to have ridden hard over the outfield. It proves that the designs are right on the edge.
