My goodness, some of you folk really are beyond pathetic. Whatever your feelings about Hamilton as a person, he is undoubtedly (together with Alonso) one of the few true racers on the grid. The point that he has suffered repeated issues in qualifying that are not his fault yet despite that has driven through the field to even beat his team-mate in Hungary shows his ability and determination. Some of his recent comments are clearly designed to shake his side of the garage up to improve reliability (entirely justified) and to prevent a repeat of the crazy 'move over' team orders (again fully justified).

V4Poweeeer: Sykes and Rea are the best SBK riders at the moment but Sykes is the best combo of man and machine his shenanigans with Baz cost him some brownie points with the fans but he is by far the best SBK rider and bike combo capable of becoming the best SBK rider in history.
Hardly think Sykes is in the same class as Foggy or Bayliss so the comment about becoming the best SBK rider in history is flakey. The Sykes / Kawasaki package is the best combination around right now though & you can only race against what turns up on the grid.

F1 » Axed Caterham staff to sue new team owners

Redundancy law is quite specific - if there are 20 to 99 redundancies (as here) then the company is legally obliged to enter into staff consultation at least 30 days before any dismissals take effect. Consultations must cover: Ways to avoid redundancies. The reasons for redundancies. How to keep the number of dismissals to a minimum. How to limit the effects for employees involved, eg by offering retraining. There must also be an objective selection procedure to choose those who are selected for redundancy. If Caterham didn't follow such a procedure then the affected staff would be entirely within their rights to consider action for unfair dismissal and breach of contract. Good luck to them.

F1 » Rosberg seeks answers for Hamilton defiance

Rosberg is losing the plot now. For Hamilton to start from pit lane and beat him speaks volumes. Yes Lulu had some good luck with the safety cars but that doesn't balance out the massive amount of bad luck he has had to cope with this season. Truth is, head to head and with equal machinery (& equal reliability) Rosberg will 90% of the time come out second.

Horner is wrong. F1 ceased to be a sport a very long time ago. It has degenerated into nothing other than a very cynical business designed to fleece the paying fan to the maximum extent possible. Where very dubious 'new money' billionaires with extremely dodgy backgrounds 'buy' events as a status symbol even though virtually nobody comes. Where ridiculous 'environment saving' technologies such as hybrid and energy recovery systems are employed to save fuel (& the planet) when five jumbo jets shuttle the whole circus repeatedly around the world. CH - you reap what you sow.

F1 » Hamilton ‘very shocked’ by team order

Both are fighting for the championship. It is a two way fight. Under the circumstances, neither should move out of the way for the other. It was utterly ridiculous that the 'team' issued such an instruction to Hamilton. It was also totally inevitable that Hamilton wouldn't comply. Nobody in their right mind would. Is Mercedes run by *****s? Brivatore is supposed to be setting up an action group to address the popularity or otherwise of F1. He could usefully start by outlawing stupid team orders like this.
