Totally fair points by Christian. It seems to be a trend nowadays for the 'guilty' party in any 'racing incident' to be increasingly vocal and aggressive towards anyone who just happened to be doing the right thing occupying the piece of tramac they wanted to have (e.g. Massa). Perhaps they should start putting points on licences for unreasonably trying to shove the blame onto an innocent party.

rbr46: Cal's only staying to p*ss off the Ducati staff. It's already a known fact that #29 has newer spec parts on his bike.
It's a known fact? Evidence please. I think Cal would be complaining bitterly and repeatedly if this was the case. After all, he would want to use this as an excuse as to why he is normally the slowest of the three factory riders. I'm sure Ducati is offering the same parts to all three riders. Whether Cal wants to use all those parts is another matter entirely.

BSB » Ellison suffers broken femur in Brands crash

Why does something need to be done about the safety fence and why is it rotten luck? Ellison got it wrong coming out of Westfield & was too hot entering Dingle Dell. He went onto the grass and high-sided. The injury occurred when he hit the ground from the highside. It had nothing to do with the safety fence which did the job it was designed to do. As for rotten luck, no. Bad luck is when something nasty happens beyond your control. This was down to rider error plain & simple. I feel sorry for what happened to Ellison but it was not down to either (bad) luck or the fences.

It's pretty clear that once Dovi had confirmed he was extending his contract, Ducati was hoping that Cal would not exercise his option and move on. Fat chance - nobody else wants Cal and certainly nobody else would pay him €2m to whinge and moan his way through the season. As Iannone is a Ducati rider with a factory contract and factory bike in the Pramac squad, couldn't Iannone & Crutchlow just swop places?

107SS2009: As I said elsewhere, strange decisions were taken by race control/race stewards. Yes, changing the type/make of brake disc/rotor and pads after qualifying amounts to a change of specification. Under the rules of parc ferme changing specification in itself means a penalty starting from the pit-lane.
No it doesn't. Drivers change brake pads / systems from race to race anyway and on the grounds of safety no steward is going to insist that a team / driver persist with a particular part that has failed - imagine the consequences if they did and an accident occurred. This is Horner just being a pr@t because his team are getting their butts kicked.
