The comments saying Casey is a one hit wonder because he hasn't won in the lesser categories are simply foolish.
As are the TC comments - ignorant at best.

Casey was always right with Pedrosa - who always had the best bike in the field.
Stoner did exceptionally well considering he never had a competitive bike until 2007.
Remember he put the LCR on pole in his second race, and very nearly won his third race.

Rossi is arguably the greatest rider ever and Stoner - to this point - is the only rider that can take the fight to him.
Last year it was Rossi keeping up with an inferior bike and this year Casey is doing just that.
Anyone who states Rossi is past it or Stoner never had it is a tool.

Well done Valentino. A true champion and always amazing to watch... The best thing for the sport of motorcycle racing since the late great Barry Sheene. I'd like to see him beat all of Ago's records now, he has plenty of time left. Then there will be no arguments as to who is the greatest ever.

In fact we might see less excitement as the races develop as the tyres will go off at roughly the same rate (aside from compound choice) for all riders and we won't get the scenario of someone who's rubber is coming on hunting down the leader... Look at F1 - there were more battles in 2005 than there are now because of tyre degradation. The only part the tyres play in the races now is the different compounds. I want competition not a one make series... plenty of those already.

It took BS several years to catch up... no one complained of the wait then. And even with one tyre supplier, tyres will still be developed at the riders' request to better suit their bikes - it will be much slower without any competition however. And so it will be there are still some tyres that are better than the others, but not enough for everyone - only the front runners will get the 'best' tyres.... it will change very little when it comes to racing, just reduce competition.

If Rossi wins it'll be interesting to see how he celebrates at his home track.

I hope Lorenzo can come on strong for the rest of the season and get his confidence back. I really want to see him fighting for wins next year regularly - he is seriously fast. that said he needs to be on Bridgestones... it's crazy the Yammy garage is on different tyre brands!

..and as the sensible comments suggest it takes so much more than twisting the wrist to get a quick lap time. Like him or hate him the kid can ride... It's the TC does everything comments that get my back up and make me lean toward Caseys side... It's like saying Tiger Woods is only as good as he is because he has the best clubs. The clubs are a tool to get the job done as is the bike (granted the bike has more bearing on the outcome but you get my point). :)

I'm with Oscar i do enjoy your humour Saran. Critisizing a rider for not performing is different to just slagging someone off, there's nothing wrong with a bit of criticism on the forum - good for discussion i say. I'm with you on the registering too. I'd say it's 50/50 on the Stoner/Rossi fan bashing thing.... I'm a huge Rossi fan and have been since his first race in the 125's (Barry Sheene was commentating and gave the heads up for an amazing young rider...) and i think he's probably the most gifted and naturaql rider i've seen, and a top guy also.... Yet i find myself on this forum becoming a Stoner fan as so many people write him off as little more than a once was and never will be..

Saran you obviously took that comment personally. Only you know why that is... Passion is a good thing. Ignorance is not. I'm certainly not the most tech savvy bloke around but i'd much rather read about cornering physics (from another thread and i believe you started the tech talk) than "your guy is crap... your guy can't ride... etc." The bashing is worthless. Knowing what a bike is and understanding what it takes to get one around a circuit are two completely different things. btw my comments weren't directed at you....
