The comments saying Casey is a one hit wonder because he hasn't won in the lesser categories are simply foolish.
As are the TC comments - ignorant at best.

Casey was always right with Pedrosa - who always had the best bike in the field.
Stoner did exceptionally well considering he never had a competitive bike until 2007.
Remember he put the LCR on pole in his second race, and very nearly won his third race.

Rossi is arguably the greatest rider ever and Stoner - to this point - is the only rider that can take the fight to him.
Last year it was Rossi keeping up with an inferior bike and this year Casey is doing just that.
Anyone who states Rossi is past it or Stoner never had it is a tool.

A control tyre and ECU is a double edged sword. It might reduce the corner speed and make for a few closer races but it detracts from the whole idea of ''prototype racing.'' I would prefer to see faster bikes each year than the same bikes as last year on the same tyres etc.... And how were the 800''s ever going to be slower than the 990''s? The danger in MotoGP is not another 20kph down a straight, it''s always in the corners. The idea was tripe from the outset. Thanks Honda.

Mihalio anyone riding at 70% would be lapped by the whole field.... The reason any rider stays out in front is because they are pushing their machine harder than the others on that particular day.... otherwise they would be caught. There is at most a 5% difference in laptimes from first to last, usually less. Hey if i'm wrong go tell Marco he only needs to ride at 70% to win.... sheeeeesh.

The TC is even responsible for those stand ups Casey does when he wins apparently. Casey doesn't need to prove anything. He was fast on the LCR too - even with no confidence in his front tyre. Actually i guess Rossi should shift to a satellite team if he is to prove his worth - he's only ever won on a factory bike, so i guess he mustn't be as good as Melandri, Elias, Gibernau, Barros and all that have won on a satellite bike.... Sounds rediculous doesn't it? now read your post again....

traction control again huh? What's there to 'use' with traction control.. it's a rider aid it doesn't ride the bike. The reason Melandri or anyone else can't win on that bike is because Casey can ride around the unpredictability and ferociousness of the thing. The Duc is the hardest bike to ride on the grid and only one man can tame it. Elias has been shown all Casey's data and said "What the data told me is that Casey has incredible confidence with his bike: braking, entering, mid-corner, open gas, everything".... Oh yeah i forgot that TC brakes and steers and shifts the rider's centre of gravity and chooses lines as well.... of course it must be the TC.

Race a bike from each of those classes mentioned and a motogp bike and see which one is premier.

Cheers Oscar i hadn't read that. I thought it was the design of the bike but didn't know it was the centre of gravity. i thought maybe something to do with the anti-wheelie electronics or something.

Someone asked earlier about Casey only running a few laps and looking pale... He is ill - has a cold or whatever - and said he didn't have full strength and started to get stomach cramps which is why he only ran a few laps at a time....

But i think the Yamaha is by far the easiest to ride and the most settled/steady under brakes. Vale had Casey's measure at Laguna on the brakes and their will be plenty of opportunities to stuff it up the inside at Brno. The Duc - from what i've read - is a real Jackle and Hide bike. It's a pig of a thing and very difficult to ride fast, but if you can master it it can be rewarding. Casey just seems to be the only guy that can have the confidence and commit to it... He lets the bike wriggle and doesn't fight it... the other three have complained about the 'feeling' not being right with front end or back end. Casey pushes through this and gets the results.
