The comments saying Casey is a one hit wonder because he hasn't won in the lesser categories are simply foolish.
As are the TC comments - ignorant at best.

Casey was always right with Pedrosa - who always had the best bike in the field.
Stoner did exceptionally well considering he never had a competitive bike until 2007.
Remember he put the LCR on pole in his second race, and very nearly won his third race.

Rossi is arguably the greatest rider ever and Stoner - to this point - is the only rider that can take the fight to him.
Last year it was Rossi keeping up with an inferior bike and this year Casey is doing just that.
Anyone who states Rossi is past it or Stoner never had it is a tool.

Excellent race from Chris... he's smooth and fast, definately has the skills... and a good personality to boot! But.... If he's waiting for the Suzy to become a real competitor he'll be waiting a while.... he needs a better ride if he ever wants to be Champ.

that was one huuuge highside! get well Lorenzo... we all want you in the mix at the front. I think Lorenzo just pushes it too far. This is his learning year and he is learning big time... he should be sorted for next year. These current tyres are far superior to any that we've seen before. They stick like glue but they have their limits - especially when cold - and as soon as they let go they'll grab again in an instant and send the rider into orbit. get well Lorenzo.

i'd suggest casey's comments were straight after the race - he was probably pissed about the move at the corkscrew which is understandable.... and someone would have explained the reason the pass was the way it was and he then understood and accepted the move. Casey's only problem is he says whatever he thinks. The kid can ride though.

Ray von comments like yours belittle yourself more than anyone else. grow up foo'! Rossi showed some real class today and Casey did a great job taking the fight to him. Rossi has always been tough on his overtaking but always fair. The question now is how will Casey respond? will he be forever beaten like Biaggi and Gibbers or will he come back with as much force as Rossi. We shall see..... :)

Awesome news Rossi is in the game for another two years... he'll keep the young guns honest. I think if it wasn't for the challenge they present to the great man he'd have buggered off to rallying or something already. I'd be surprised if with his talent and determination he didn't win at least one more title by then.

Grumpy Doctor when you use the word intelligent it comes across as an oxymoron. You need to stop embarrassing yourself.

If there was only one bike on the track circulating it wouldn't be boring to me. I'd give anything to be able to ride the way these guys ride. it's awesome to watch the way they hang off the bike powering out of a turn, braking with the back wheel in the air or sliding out the side, the way they drift through the mid corner leaving a big long blackie behind them, the twitching and throbbing of a machine with a rediculous power to weight ratio... it's a sight to behold! if you only want to see overtaking at every corner or crashing there are other motorsports you should be watching. leave motoGP to the true enthusiasts.

I think TC should be removed - i hate TC and ABS on cars i drive (never ridden a bike with either) - but i don't think it would change much. The same four riders would still be at the top, and the nature of these 800's and their tyres woud still make for big gaps between riders and a thin racing line. Stray from that line a wee bit and you've lost half a second, which is a lot to lose at this level and often takes many laps to make up, if at all. This is prototype racing and the result of improved technology. It's inevitable and it won't be going away.

i too would like to see more battles at the front - everyone would i think. and you're right about the level of technology. The thing is Rossi fans crack it when he's not given his due respect - and so do the Stoner fans. I'm a fan of both so for me it's a win win situation. i just crack it with those that think the TC and electronics are doing the riding. It's far from the truth and anyone who has ridden a bike in anger would understand this.
