The comments saying Casey is a one hit wonder because he hasn't won in the lesser categories are simply foolish.
As are the TC comments - ignorant at best.

Casey was always right with Pedrosa - who always had the best bike in the field.
Stoner did exceptionally well considering he never had a competitive bike until 2007.
Remember he put the LCR on pole in his second race, and very nearly won his third race.

Rossi is arguably the greatest rider ever and Stoner - to this point - is the only rider that can take the fight to him.
Last year it was Rossi keeping up with an inferior bike and this year Casey is doing just that.
Anyone who states Rossi is past it or Stoner never had it is a tool.

Rossi fan the 500's of the late 90's were a whole lot easier to ride than those of the late 80's... The more rider friendly a bike is the further it can be pushed - the lower the lap times... It's called progress and it's what each and every manufacturer is aiming to achieve. They may be easier to ride, but it's still just as hard to run at the front as it ever was.

Stitcho I agree with you 100%.... but the groupies are blinded by yellow so don't expect it to register with any of them. Qualifying was closer than expected, but i think Stoner's likely to bolt from the get go.... If he gets beaten my money would be on Rossi doing it, but i think he'll have his work cut out for him to do so. The only other contenders are Pedro and maybe Lorenzo.... Poor marco could get lapped at that pace... Hope it's a good race!

your comments are unfounded. ideal traction requires about 5% wheelspin.

And i have been a huge Rossi supporter since his debut in the 125's. He is a master of his craft and a great showman. But i give Casey full credit for getting to where he is and achieving what he has. His results in comparison to the other Dukes are telling indeed.
