MotoGP » Lorenzo states penalty case, Marquez 'fans like it'

oops! continuing.... Finally I disliked Simmos riding when it was 'wild' but come the MotoGP class, he focused himself on aggressive, fast, controlled riding. The racing was all the better for it. I believe that focus came about because other riders had become critical of his riding. Given MM stated he ignores criticism on this point, it seems the only way to get him to think about his riding is to penalise him for riding that is too far to the wild / dangerous end of the aggressive spectrum.

A few points. Lorenzo has his head screwed on and saw how it affected Sete and Vale. I think he wants to avoid those types of mind games. Pointing to Lorenzo doing a similar move would be valid if it wasn't for the fact he was a little kid basically. MM isn't and has lots of experience. Talking of MM experience, on a BBC interview MM said criticism of his hard (overly) aggressive riding style 'goes in one ear and out the other ear'. This is a bad thing IMO. One should always be aware that you don't know everything and other peoples perspectives are worth considering. There were a good few times MM went into corners so fast he nearly rear ended Lorenzo. I counted 4 watching the race live. His overtakes were similar: fast, deep, wide. Only hitting Lorenzo stopped him going wide again. Combining some of the above - MM riding and his refusal to consider alternative views - I have to side with Lorenzo on this point and maybe only points will make MM have a second thought. Finally
