No not 50/50. Pol made no mistake by going for an opening caused by a rider sliding wide on the corner. If there is a rule that a rider that has made a mistake should check the positions of near riders before rejoining the action then Marquez broke the rule. But so have many others.

I think his fall last year at Silverstone was in part due to over confidence. Hopefully this will temper him a little. Just a little. That's all he needs IMO. It's a funny old game innit! Although I'm sure there are plenty wanting to cheer him on at his home race the flip side is that it must increas pressure to perform and may actually cloud his mind a bit. I will be egging him on from the sofa tho!

MOTOGP » Italian broadcaster swaps MotoGP for WSBK

I have no vested interests (ie don't own a bike in any of the classes) and am just a 'motorcycle racing fan' but I have decided to miss most of this years Moto GP meetings (+support races) because I've better things to do. I've signed up to Eurosport Player for a wider motorcycling diet and have been mostly watching the superbikes. That's simply where the best racing and action is (Italy aside!) is I've seen so far this year.

So now I've done my nice respectful post I reckon Lorenzo will be genuinely sorry he's leaving, even though it obviously changes his potential for a shot at the World Championship in a beneficial way. Rossi will be happy although he may say otherwise.

Another "Wow, what a surprise". But at the end of the day its his life. A great loss to the sport though. I was looking forward to his record breaking career.
