Who actually believed that Rossi would race Bayliss on his home turf (WSBK) ? To prove what ? Rossi was all over Bayliss in 2004/2005. Why would he risk mid season to do such a duel just because an oz guy beat him to some magazine trophy... :?
Seriously

@James W. It is out of scope why was Rossi better than Bayliss. Many would say Rossi had a better team, better bike, better haircut etc etc. What's left at the end though, is results. I dont want to open a discussion why was Rossi better, because these parameters are disputable. What is indisputable though, is numbers. No one can argue that at the end of the season Rossi gathered more numbers than Bayliss. I didn't mention 2003 because Bayliss was a rookie and was learning. What would a duel in WSBK prove ? That Bayliss would probably own Rossi just as Rossi did in MotoGP. So what? If you put Rossi and Bayliss against me on a trial bike I would own them both! Does it make me a better rider?

I voted for Vettel. Why ? Because considering the package he had, his age and his experience he had the best overall performance for the year 2008. Other people scored higher than him in the WDC, but they had either more experience or better car or both. And lets not forget this is a vote for 2008 performance. Not for the best competing F1 driver to date.

At least the current points system puts the championship down to the wire. For the last two years the championships were determined by a single point I remember back in the days where 1st place were given 10 points and the 2nd 6, drivers would win the championship at least 2-3 races before the end of season. I think the current points system is fine and should stay as-is.

:? If McLaren is found guilty it should be punished.I respect opinions that the "dossier" was destined for Honda, or that this thing ruins the season, but truth is that this year McLaren is a completely different team with an extremely fast and reliable car. And on Bridgestones ! I remember the joke with MP4/18 back in 2003 and I keep wondering how on earth they managed to pull out such a flawless car on new tires and drivers this year !??? I dont want to take credit away from the superhumans Hamilton and Alonso but this MP4 is something else this year... smells fishy to me.
