I guess it's fair to say that he's done alright on equipment that's not quite on par with Golden Boy. I am a bit surprised and feel a little ripped off to learn that they don't both have the latest gear, and kind of raises the possibility of team orders again doesn't it?
Oh, for the Rossi fanboys, it's a rhetorical question.

Pringle, you're a dolt with as much foresight as the current management teams in the series who are also unwilling to take a chance. Are you saying upfront, that Crutchlow and Laverty could not perform on top class machinery in time. And I don't mean Colin Edwards time?

ElBig One, that is clearly a comment that does not belong on this site. It is obviously an opinion supported by observations that are hard to disagree with. How is anyone expected to respond to posts like that ffs!

Were you a scooter mechanic there too, Robert?

As much as I don't give a **** for his attitude or race tactics, he certainly has the potential to be a contender in the years to come. He won't lack the equipment to do it, so let's see if he continues to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory!

Pringle, keep your shirt on mate. Since when does a championship guarantee a seat in motoGP? My opinion is based on their form this year. Sure, they were close to the top, with fast yet very untidy riding in THE top teams. Their incidents weren't simple mistakes but often involved other riders while dicing dangerously for an extra place. They rode in a way which concerns me how they will deal with the larger bikes, I simply don't think they showed the maturity to deserve the rides, too unpredictable and dangerous. Other riders?...hmmm, any of the top 3 WSS riders for a start. Try looking beyond 250's mate, it's a big world outside! Nationality no advantage?!!!! Hahahaha hahahaha haha ha!

Dear Mr Baffled, you're correct, they are my opinions. If you don't like them or disagree, fantastic, but at least I have an opinion. Here they are again in case you forgot. At 24, Bautista is STILL a regular crasher and often makes/takes risky moves that put others at risk. Simoncelli is hardly any different, yet their nationalities are a free ride into the top class. Deny it if you want, but you know there are other riders who deserve the rides more but suffer because of the DORNA maffia and their need to push the Iti/Spanish wagon.

'gained rides by merit'.....what a ******* joke! Yeah, it's meritorious to be spanish or eyetie, but I assume that's not what anyone meant. I'll say it again, Simo and Alvaro had shocking seasons with a multitude of unforced errors. Neither deserves the chance, and neither would GET the chance if their nationalities were different. Rawdawg, bloody good point you made, of course few will agree though. Let's wait and see how the fans react when these two clowns take out a few favorites shall we? World Championship?.......Ar5e!

Honda/Showa aren't idiots. For a small fee they could purchase a set and copy exactly, the Japs are good at it, have been for years. I'm questioning that it's more financially viable for them to buy/lease and hire/train an Ohlins tech specialist than blow wads of cash manufacturing low volumes of stuff that may or may not be a fly5h1t better than the other. Just an opinion, but sounds closer to the mark to me.

Great result. Unexpected for sure, but good to see him ahead of boofhead Simoncello and Bautitsta. I like this little bloke, full of determination, but not over the top with the 8u115h1t that seems to be part and parcel of 90percent of these euro drongos these days.

Paul Voss, don't be silly, I was referring to Capirossi and Bautista. Capirossi is no development rider, and Bautista is a too old and too dangerous to be considered the 'future' of suzuki or any other team for that matter. Vermuellen is a better rider than both, he was always treated extremely poorly by the team once that no-hoper Capirossi joined the team.
