I guess it's fair to say that he's done alright on equipment that's not quite on par with Golden Boy. I am a bit surprised and feel a little ripped off to learn that they don't both have the latest gear, and kind of raises the possibility of team orders again doesn't it?
Oh, for the Rossi fanboys, it's a rhetorical question.

Can't believe the comments questioning DP's commitment! He was leading the championship not that long ago for christs sake. Good on him for saying what he thinks, he should go and kick three shades of **** out of michelin's (and hondas) so called expert just to drive his point home. At this rate I'd almost bet that at least one of the factory hondas will change brands within the next couple of races. Surely honda will be doing all they can to get their hands on the bridgys for evaluation for next years 'one make' tyre rule. I've warmed to DP even after his missile attempt on Hayden in '06. He races for himself, no theatrics required.

@ #46, I'm not sure what your beef is with my spelling, but I'm pretty sure the majority of my comments have more substance than many here. Read them again, it might spark a neuron or two! The humour and irony is obviously wasted on you, so I'll try hard just to add value, it's just that some of the drivel on here makes me see red - must be that aussie bull**** detector working overtime. Cheers. PS. any further speculation or comments on special tyre allocations within the Bridgestone camps?

@saran dorairaj, it's my opinion that your comments are generally crap! ....but don't jump on me. A lot of comments on this forum (like yours) come from biased assumptions and really don't encourage thoughtful comments. Here's some, this season should go down as null and void, even if Dani miraculously overhauled both Stoner & Krusty, because of the complete lack of competition and uneven playing field provided by Michelin and BS allocation favouritism. Honda will boycott the remainder of the season (or demand sweeping revisions) if BS don't provide tyres for evaluation within the next two rounds. Also, Hayden a genuine title contender in 2009.

Vale46, it looks to me like CS has gotten into your head. By the way, I didn't know he was entered in the World Rally Champ'ship too ! Back 2 reality,a one tyre rule has to be a fair one tyre rule and that means no specials.I'm sure that the top teams are still getting tyres that teams like Alice, Rizla aren't privy to. My feeling is that the one make tyre rule will allow the rest to catch up very quickly with ecu and tc development. This'll still keep the class at the top as far as tech advancement goes but also make it a hell of a lot more interesting.Control electronics will see WSB match MotoGP times in a year or two. Can anyone confirm my suspicions about BS allocation preferences?

What a utterly crap comment tamie 46l! They all deserve the chance to win. Unfortunately, poor management of the series has turned it into a popularity contest and attracted hoardes of tools, just like you, to the sport instead.

When you look past the results of the last several races can anyone here seriously say they are race fans? When the 2 at the front have a 5 sec gap after 2 laps and 11 secs after 7 laps. It's easy to support proven winners, but the sport is suffering, show some faith in the other riders out there. Michelins suicidal fall from grace may be the best thing to happen to the sport next year. A couple of the shots of the 'also rans' showed some spirited riding eg LC and CV, pity they're fighting for the crumbs. A lot of talent is hidden my mediocre equipment. Every day I hope to read an inspiring comment here, rarely does it happen. Unfortunately like most sport these days, money talks.

As much as I look forward to the race each sunday, more and more I despise the disparity between results due to tyre suppliers. I hated the fact that riders got the o/night specials, but I hate it even more now because I suspect that even between the two top BS blokes there are specials being slipped in due to favouritism, team influences etc. None of the 'slower' blokes are mugs and they don't deserve the slating because of Michelins current woes. Fans of this sport deserve better. The next to suggests a 'control' ECU would have more influence than 'control' tyres in bringing the field closer together is in for an all out bollocking. Given time, Michelin might be back, but why risk it?

Good call Greg. The main point of my comment being how critics have dramatically over emphasized CS reactions, and not just in this case.I've seen VR more animated due to his opinion of other riders tactics, yet I don't see comments with tirades of hatred toward him. CS gutsy efforts and his upfront opinions are refreshing and normal and I don't give a toss for the theatrics of VR/GL et al,yet I certainly don't 'hate' them because I appreciate what they add to the sport. As someone on this site once said,we normally have good bull**** detectors, maybe Timbos just needs to mature a little. Don't despair, the sport will certainly survive the demise of Krusty the Clown. Sad for some, but true.

@ Timbo (naturalised aussie I'd almost bet!), you're a disgrace! Where's your patriotism? Yourself and others that constantly bag riders are the only drama queens here. I'll certainly credit CS with a much calmer temper than I have. He's done nothing more than speak his mind clearly and relatively calmly. If you were a real Aussie you'd realise that we won't take it lying down. If you don't like it, go and watch 'american idol' or 'the world personality championships' or whatever the hell you get off on. Anyway, I'm thinking Krusty hasn't felt presure like this in a while, cause at the moment it's his to blow, and my bet is that he'll fold.....again. Cheers.
