RECOMMENDED COMMENT
32 agree.

That is so vague, how do you decide if an idea came from Ferrari? "Oh look, it's got four wheels, so does the Ferrari, so McLaren must be punished!"
More soberly, I doubt they'd be able to come up with anything that McLaren couldn't contest.

Government enters 'sickening' racism row.
1 agrees.
Reno, If you're going to start going back into the past then there aren't many countries which haven't at some point conquered others and tried to start empires. Particularly in Europe. Spain, for example, can hardly claim a moral high ground in that regard! Partly because of the legacy of the British Empire, the UK today is a very multi-cultural place where racism is tolerated less and less. Your lists of 'offensive' words are just daft! The Minister for Sports in the UK is a spokesman for the government, that's who he is to preach against racism. Don't you think it's a good idea for him to take a principled stand?

Chu Chu, you won't hear the N word very often at football games in the UK, not any more. I don't anyway, and I go most weeks. Don't get me wrong, I have heard it occassionally, but it's tolerated much less nowadays and isn't common any more. Other fans will also report racist language to stewards and the offenders will (and do) get ejected and banned.

Abuse sees Spain threatened with GP loss.
1 agrees.
2 disagree.
I think if there was a black Spanish driver and British fans barracked him in this way then there would be a big outcry, not least by the British media. They are partisan but I don't think they're completely hypocritical. I don't know what the Spanish media reaction has been, but I would hope they are condemning these idiots too. Threatening to remove a race from the calendar is obviously the biggest stick BE has, but I don't think it's disproporionate if the crowd is so abusive.

Fantastic stuff from JT. I know you can't read too much into testing, but it's still great.

Hamilton to quit Britain.

Rossi lives in London for the same reasons that Lewis wants to move to Switzerland, to get away from the attention. There are also tax advantages for both of them. Have a read of Stephen Fry's blog if you need to hear what being famous is like, I sympathise with the guy.

Mosley unconvinced by McLaren appeal.

Isn't it ridiculous for the head of an 'impartial' body to prejudge the outcome of an appeal?

125: Smith signs for top team.

Gripper, he didn't really have much choice - Honda aren't running teams in 125 and 250 any more. Besides, Honda have never been the best in those classes.

He changed to the softer tyres on the first stop, then back to harder on the 2nd, and a new set of harder on the 3rd. I did think it was odd to have 3 at the time.
