RECOMMENDED COMMENT
32 agree.
3 disagree.
That is so vague, how do you decide if an idea came from Ferrari? "Oh look, it's got four wheels, so does the Ferrari, so McLaren must be punished!"
More soberly, I doubt they'd be able to come up with anything that McLaren couldn't contest.

Rossi out to regain Island authority.

Pommy stands for nothing of the sort, go and look in a dictionary. It probably originates from pomegranate, it's certainly not an acronym. I was at Donny and was disappointed to hear of the booing - Stoner never got near us on the Melbourne loop because he cut across on the old circuit to get back to the pits quicker rather than wave to us. That also disappointed me. I don't think the people booing him were doing so because he is an Ozzie, plenty of people didn't like Carl Fogarty either, and he's a brit. Probably the same people.

FIA: Hamilton, Liuzzi cases totally different.

Not settled law maybe, but it certainly was a precedent.

FIA throws out Hamilton F1 Spa appeal.
3 agree.
Ferrari stated previously that they hadn't made a complaint to the stewards. So why were they there at court today then? Both the FIA and Ferrari were petitioning to dismiss the appeal, or to uphold the penalty in the event it was allowed. Why were Ferrari in court in a matter which was between McLaren and the Stewards? It was slightly satisfying to see Ferrari's attempts to dismiss the appeal on technicalities fail, but I didn't find the court's decision that Liuzzi's appeal last year didn't set a precedent too convincing. Maybe that's why I'm not a lawyer. Ho hum.

Hamilton poised to learn Belgian GP verdict.
1 disagrees.
Well it looks like Mclaren have won the right to have the appeal heard - on the basis that it wasn't a drive-through but a time penalty, and Liuzzi had a similar appeal heard last year after Japan.

125: Smith considers Polaris, Aspar options.

woody, I think you read an article that was a bit too influenced by the desires of Jorge Martinez, who seems to have been suggesting that it's practically a done deal although no article I've read actually said it was definite.

Smith column: Stopped by a hurricane.
3 agree.
2 disagree.
Well Thorn, I'm guessing the majority of commenters getting excited about Bradley are, like me, British. He's come on leaps and bounds this season, only bad luck with weather has stopped him winning one or two races already. At Misano he was the only rider to challenge Gabor Talmacsi so he has genuine pace. If I were German I would be getting excited about Bradl, but I'm not so I ain't.

We're keeping the faith Bradley, you'll get that win, I can almost see it. Just keep getting the front row starts - pity you didn't manage that in Indy because then you wouldn't have been in Ranseder's path. Never mind, water under the bridge now, and that was a great race from 27th to 8th!

125: Terol takes rain-interrupted Indy win.

That Scott Redding is outperforming his bike massively. Good ride by Bradley too, coming back from 25th to 8th, he would have got higher with more laps too I reckon. Congrats to Nico though, great ride.

Vettel wins Italian GP.

Brilliant to see a back-marker car of a couple of seasons ago come through to win - and even better to see a rookie driving it. I love it when it rains and evens out the field, Vettel is a classy driver and no mistake. I'm sure he's got more wins in him.

Hofmann talks d'Antin exit.
1 agrees.
At the Sachsenring when Matt was commentating in the BBC box he made a throwaway comment about Luis D'Antin being 'dodgy'. I hadn't read that article though, sounds like there's a lot more that could come out too!
