I agree that Nicky won fair and square but I was personally disappointed when he chose to run the #1 plate. He certainly had to right to run it but I thought it was a little c*cky to actually do so. Had he been a little more humble and stuck with his #69 (being his fathers number and all) I would have been more supportive – this of course is a personal opinion – I’m an Australian who rides a Ducati and lives in the U.S. – Regardless of who wins this year, I’m just looking for a good second half of the season – that’s why I follow MotoGP and not NASCAR

As Rossi is fond of saying, that #1 plate will do nothing but slow you down. There is nothing HRC can do to overcome that one - he should put the #69 back on and stop pretending to be a world champion
