Glad to hear Leon sounding so much more positive and cheerful about where he is. He's too professional to criticise HM Plant outright, but reading between the lines he wasn't all that happy there. I know he's got a lot of detractors who carp about 'Oh its all because his dad opens doors' but actually he is there on merit. Yeah, yeah riders could always have done better but look at his record, not least in WSB, and its pretty sound. If Stiggy's backers stay on board we ARE going to see him on the podium more than once this season.

Agreed - Byrne, Rea, Haslam are pretty closely matched for talent - It'll be down to the bikes and 'uncontrollables' like other riders behaviour that's most likely to separate 'em.

If you look at Hayden's career you can accuse him of all sorts of things (mostly without particularly good grounds either) but the one thing I have never heard a sane claim about is that Hayden lacks bottle. If he has any fault in that respect he can be too bold & optimistic. If *he* thinks it would be insane to whack open the throttle in the expectation the electronics will sort it all out and the bike will run like Stoner's ... trust him, it would be an insane thing to try. He WILL get better. Good that Gibernau's doing even better but (for those with short memories)he is a seriously class act too & has had longer on that bike.

Far as I'm concerned the jury's still out on the style / new format - I'm not finding it quite so easy to navigate, but then I was used to the old version. But I'll tell you what I like, what I really REALLY like ............ In the old version the banner ads and stuff often used to obscurethe text when viewing with Firefox and (touch wood) So far it doesn't. Woot! I don't like that: You have to add a pictoral emoticon from the line below. They're not so subtle. But you try putting semicolon minus end bracket and see what happens. If Stinky's right you can vote repeatedly for a comment - including your own. (How sad is that)?

Or it could just be Shakey actually IS on a fully debugged 08 bike whilst the 09 bikes haven't been debugged. Not that it would take anything away from the fact he's a class act in his own right .... whichever version he's riding
