Far as I'm concerned the jury's still out on the style / new format - I'm not finding it quite so easy to navigate, but then I was used to the old version.
But I'll tell you what I like, what I really REALLY like ............ In the old version the banner ads and stuff often used to obscurethe text when viewing with Firefox and (touch wood) So far it doesn't. Woot!
I don't like that:
You have to add a pictoral emoticon from the line below. They're not so subtle. But you try putting semicolon minus end bracket and see what happens.
If Stinky's right you can vote repeatedly for a comment - including your own. (How sad is that)?

BBC responds to MotoGP fans.
I'm not a big fan of the Beeb generally and resent the extortionate price of the fee for a licence for something I rarely watch. BUT I've never had any problem with the current line up of commentators - Folk here are throwing a lot of rocks at Charlie Cox ..... Well YTCs. Have you never heard of 'a straight man' (as in a double act presentation)? He's the foil. Eurosprout is aimed at a harder-core audience than Beeb can. They need someone to occasionally play the dummy to widen appeal. I suspect they can’t be so up-front about that as they’d like and if they were at least 10% of the posters here look like they’d howl about being insulted if they did. But that’s reality.

Scassa: British series gets more respect.
2 agree.
Well, that and the fact Byrne''s ridden in WSB & Moto GP, Haslam''s ridden WSB, Sykes, Haslam and Crutchlow all gave very storng showings as wild cards... But for the Italians to have less TV coverage than BSB on terrestrial TV - What do they do? Send special squads round to steal people''s DVDs? BSB sure as hell wasn''t broadcast at any time I could find it on at sane hour in 2008. Why do they suppose their sponsors are walking away? OK *other* than the new great economic depression.

BSB announces three-race events!
I've a suspicion Luke may be closest to the truth but NEVER MIND THAT ... WHAT I WANNA KNOW is why the sidebar is Promoing 'free fitting' and the chance to win free Dunlop Roadsmarts when the Promo ended 7th or 8th December. If the message is supposed to be 'You can trust Dunlop' that might be something of an own goal.

Puig blasts Hayden.
2 disagree.
Riff Raff Believe it or not ...... & you're a cynical **** so you probably won't
Seriously 'though. I had the opportunity last year to talk for quite a while to one of the guys who had been a mechanic for several years at Moto GP before moving to BSB. His opinion, I only parrot it, is Hayden is almost totally what you see is what you get. He's one of and possibly *the* most liked riders in the pitlane by the ordinary guys there. No airs, no graces, no false amiability. Honest and friendly as his default setting. Do they think he's the best rider ever? No not really, 'though he *is* well thought of as a rider. Is he one they want to work with? Too ******* right

Laconi: The bike will perform well here.

Poor bloke. He has to say that. I rather wish someone would give him a decent bike. He''s actually quite talented but he''s gotta be ******* frustrated on that ZX10.

Haslam to lead Stiggy WSBK effort.
Took me a minute to figure out which team Stigy Motorsport is. Then the penny dropped - WSS. They've been basically dead solid there. This looks hopeful. + Leon's no mug - He'll have sussed them very thoroughly before committing, given the chances are he could pretty much take his pick of a ride in BSB for next season. So, it won't be easy. But it won't be easy for anyone in WSB next season the way its beginning to look. Very competitive. I reckon WSB could be the most exciting series in 2009. Heh ......By rather a long way too

Rutter 'disappointed' with Silverstone form.

As old Rutter''s usually pretty frank about it when he ****s it up, I''m inclined to believe that''s a true bill - Tyres. Or at least set-up which felt OK but wasn''t preserving tyres.

Andrews back in the top five.
5 agree.
If he can do that on that privateer (even though - credit where its due - an exceptionally well set up privateer)the 'top' teams would be pretty stupid not to snap him up if they get the chance. Ahem, excuse me Mr Wright, there's this bloke and .......
