Far as I'm concerned the jury's still out on the style / new format - I'm not finding it quite so easy to navigate, but then I was used to the old version.

But I'll tell you what I like, what I really REALLY like ............ In the old version the banner ads and stuff often used to obscurethe text when viewing with Firefox and (touch wood) So far it doesn't. Woot!

I don't like that:
You have to add a pictoral emoticon from the line below. They're not so subtle. But you try putting semicolon minus end bracket and see what happens.

If Stinky's right you can vote repeatedly for a comment - including your own. (How sad is that)?

I've been bitten by wildlife with more endearing personalities than Biaggi's. But to say he should be out of it I don't understand. Yes he's a prima donna. Yes he's erratic. But he's highly competent, often faster than a rat out of a drainpipe and makes for entertaining racing. This is good for Aprilia & good for WSB I'd like to see Hoffman as their second rider - He's pretty sound. Given a decent bike he's quick. And if anyone won't put up with bull**** ......

eh? How can he have lost the plot because Valle took the hump because he was too close to Valle for comfort? If he was too close to Valle for comfort he'd hardly lost the plot had he? The worrying thing for Marco is he was superb on the 990s. Since then, in 2007 he didn't have the success most folk would have predicted. This year's been a disaster for him and for Ducati because whilst both are top class they're clearly incompatible. The Kawasaki might or might not have potential. The riders seem to be taking the brunt of the flack for a bike which isn't doing what it should. Maybe Marco will do for Team Green what Casey did for Ducati last season. But I wouldn't hold your breath yet

Dani the Dwarf & tires It creates a strange situation between Honda & Michelin. Michelin probably feel after close on 20 years of looking after Honda they've been stabbed in the back instead of supported whilst they work through a rough patch. HRC, pragmatists that they are, probably take the view if Michelin tires hadn't caused their riders grief no one would be talking about switching and M pulled the roof on their own head. As for DtD - any rider come to that - given the chance it *might* make sense to swap to Bridgestones. But if they do they're responsible for taking the gamble of going ahead with no settings etc.. If it comes apart its on their head. Or possibly Mr Puig's :-)

Dollop Everybody spotted the 'so subtle' analogy with Doohan. The reality is Doohan's a pretty good rider who made up the difference by being as hard as nails and about as sensitive. Bayliss is a far more talented rider, much wiser and a thoroughly decent bloke who people don't just respect, they like him - a *lot*. Which is mostly why they think you're something that rhymes with grunt but won't get past the spell check :-)

It''ll be a bit of let-down all round if Shakey doesn''t get to ride. He''ll be digruntled if he reckon''s he''s fit It won''t help his chances of landing a top WSB slot if he doesn''t get close to nailing the title (even tho logically it''s pretty much a done deal whatever happens at Croft). And whoever wins will be told by some ****** ''You''d not have won if Shakey''d been allowed to compete''.

This season's stats are as you say Plaggie - but - My reasoning (and I hope its flawed 'cos I've reason to hope he does well beside the fact he's beginning to earn it)goes like this: Most of this year the Duke's been such a handful for him he's *had* to treat it with the utmost care or the sodding thing would bite him. But now he's got it sussed and going like a badger with a rocket up its orifice. And on his previous form, the temptation could easily be to go all balls-out and intemperate in his enthusiasm to nail a really good result. Against that he does seem to be maturing a lot as a rider, so you could be right. We'll find out on Sunday.

At Banbury today (not that far away as the crow's flicked) it was totally a cow on a flat rock job. Forecast for tomorrow's only fractionally better. I think the best they can hope for is consistent rain - then they know what tyre to chose.

Big step forward from practice from Xaus. I expected him to go well, then when I saw his practice results figured he'd not got it sussed. Looks like he has now.
