MotoGP » Petrucci 0.1sec from Ioda target


As manufacturers arent supposed to be in CRT, its other teams that can claim engines. There is no reason why Ioda cant claim De Puniet's engine after round one - that is the whole idea of claiming - no secrets or unobtainable items Is there any rules about whether you can claim back your engine a race after it has been claimed?

@Ian, I'm sure they wouldnt have to build a new engine. Maybe back the timing off by half a degree at most. There wouldn't be that much difference in the two fuels. They were there to collect set-up data for the upcoming WSB round. Hell for all I know they may have arranged it with the organisers so they would be DQ'ed. Lets face it, the guys who came 1st and 2nd in world supersport against british supersport isnt exactly a fair fight. Although Ian Lowry gave them a really good fight on his suzuki

I like Leon... as a non brit living in the UK, he would be my favourite brit rider I thought he was hard done by when GSE nearly pulled out of BSB a couple of years ago, forcing him to switch to HM plant (admittedly a lush ride!) he would have been BSB champ for sure instead of Shakey last year. It took him half the year to get used to riding the four cylinder Good luck for '10!
