I just new this season was gonna be a cracker so me and the misses are off to Portamao, cant wait. A lot of folk here seem to forget who Nori rides for, remember last year and a certain Mr Bayliss wiped the floor with everyone, so the bike is good. Bens bike on the other hand is in its first year of development and as we can see he rides the think over the limit. Don't forget we also have a very strong Jonny Rea, Fab, Biaggi, and sometimes Haslam, so nothing will be a forgone conclusion. This is what great championships are all about. Look at how boring BSB was this year.

As with most racing it will be the rider who can string a season together and this year is going to be very hard. If you take the most improved riders of last year as well as take age into consideration then judging by Portimao and Phillip Island it will a three way battle between Fabrizio, Rea, and Haslem, with the odd oldie like Haga, Biaggi, Byrne and even maybe Toseland making an appearance some weekends. By mid season Cal Cruchlow and Leon Camier will be nipping at heels of the front runners. Poor old BMW they should get a rider with a bit of fire in the belly I reckon. Heart says Rea, mind says Fab.

Well not sure what to make of the lap times other than Phillip Island kinda looks like it favours the Ducatis. To me its disappointing to se Fabrizio as the fastest overall as he is the type of rider most folk cant seem to like somehow, dont know what it is but I know he is going to be in with a shout this year but hope in the end he doesn’t do anything.. To me the most impressive times of the non Ducatis was Leon Camier not bad for someone who has not raced at Phillip Island before. The most disappointing well it has to be the two Yamahas considering all the hype about new engine characteristics and so on. Not sure what to make of that. I actually thought Johnny Rea was going to be the man to beat but see he is surrounded by Red bikes. Dark horses, Leon Haslam and Shakey Burn. I seem to have dismissed Nori for some reason

I just love all this speculation - its what its all about at this stage. Just looked at Ben’s times from Valencia SBK and he set a Superpole time of 1.33.270 so he can in theory go quite a bit quicker on his TRACTOR. Most of us who watch SBK & MOTO GP will know he can pick up speed as the weekend goes on. I expect him to finish Sundays race as best of the rest. Great Picture.

Seems to me that Misano is maybe the turning point in the championship because not only will Ben have Haga and Fabrizio to deal with in future but now he has a pesky Honda on proper suspension to deal with. In other words the rest of the season will NOT just be about Spies and Haga now they both have to worry about Fabrizio and Rea taking points from them. Donnington will be the round of the year as Ben will have to deal with Haga, Rea, Fabrizio, Camier, Ellison, Kyonari, and maybe Andrews, all fast round the English circuit. If he can get a double at Donnington he will win the championship, but I think the Honda of Rea will be a right pain in his ass.

I dont know what to make of Moto GP so far as I am just getting over the excitement of WSB. Is it me or am I the only one who feels a bit sorry for Rossi and Co especially after seeing those pictures of Pedrosa stretchered off after his fall and all the usual suspects doing their usual excuses for crap lap times. To me Moto GP looks tired and worn whereas WSB looks fresh and new. I think even WSS will be better than MOTO GP because it looks like its going to develop into the Stoner, Rossi show with the odd Lorenzo, Dovi, Edwards third place. Oh well perhaps the 125s and 250s will be worth a watch. Hope I am wrong.

Poor old Shakey. I am not particularly a Byrne fan but that was BAD. Just goes to show how you have to dot the I and cross the T at this level. Last season in BSB shakey had a better bike at the beginning of the season but when the Hondas & Suzuki developed in he later rounds he did not get a win so that leaves me to believe that his bike lacks something. I dont think he is talentless but the bike has to be good. Just ask Rea, Kiyo, Checa, Parkes, Xaus, and Corser. He will do something this year. Haslam was my big surprise as well as the Ten Kate Bikes.

Anyone got any idea the difference between Shakeys bike and the Xerox bikes, as I did hear that the bikes were his old 2008 BSB bikes with updates. The only problem with this is that if he beats the factory bikes will he get any updates later in the season.I doubt it somehow.I think all he can do is be realistic and just race as hard as he can and upset a few of the established names so as team managers take note for 2010. He will be best privateer without doubt.
