So polarised, so inaccurate.
(Am I the only one thinking the postings always dip during school holidays)?

Look. You might or might not like who they are or what they say but get real.
Rossi is a gifted rider.
Stoner is a gifted rider.
They're both slightly in each other's heads. But nether of them are particularly susceptible to having mind games pulled on them.
They're both on immensely fast well matched machines with different strengths and weaknesses.
This is a good thing. It *might* mean we're going to see Moto GP escape from becoming the F1 procession which would ruin it for ever. I won't bet on that quite yet, but I'll hope its so.

I wonder if they do it with a 120/65 front? ****** Dunlop no longer make D207RRs & Sodding Pirelli only do the Diablo Corsa III on a 120/70 : ( Any suggestions - based on personal use - for J2 ZX6 welcome.... [Other than the 120/70 will be OK - it won't].

Reality check: 'Dani Pedrosa is the quiet professional that doesn't blame and badmouth others’? What? Have you forgotten already his repeated slagging of Hayden? Grumpy Doctor has pointed at something genuine. The way Dani behaves *is* very much in line with mild autism. Go check. It would potentially help Dani a lot with his technical issues & riding focus and help him be such a superb rider. The downside is it would make it more difficult for him to handle the media and relationships with others. Its not good, its not bad, it’s simply the way it is. … But if it is so then its out of order to slag the guy as ‘cold’ – ain’t his fault. Saltbush – if you recheck your post you could find a typo in your final word ;-)

I'm not sure whether Lorenzo truly doesn't like Mr Pedrosa very much or it is, as suggested, carefully crafted media hype. Me, if I were Lorenzo I would be saying “Mr T, please do not attempt to knock sodding big holes in my fairing next time we go around the corner old chap” – seeing this as somewhat more problematical than being slighted by someone with, to be frank, exceptional riding talent and the social grace and competence of inexpensive soft furnishings. The other thing I would be saying is “For *kssake call me Lorenzo not Jorge now I know what it sounds like in English”. (Unless I secretly wanted to be called w hore-gay).

I don't much like Biaggi but respect his riding skills enormously. I felt more empathy for him at Philip island than I've ever done before. Not sure whether he would have beaten Bayliss. Bayliss as canny as he is as wild when he has to be and had some in reserve. But Biaggi's sheer spirit impressed. He took calculated risks based on his own skill. He's an arrogant sob but I think his 'risk assessment' was right. The chance things would go so far to rat**** was outweighed by the chance & the need to net serious points.

So we can expect to see the Suzukis start from half way back on the grid and trying to claw it back on the straights where they''re faster. Maybe. If Valencia''s straights are long enough. Hope the team explain this approach to Yukio so he doesn’t do himself a more serious mischief binning it in the corners yet again ;-)

On a different theme tho, wonder if the bit about Ruben Xaus being blocked from testing due to a shortage of engine parts - when Bayliss, Fabrizio & Biaggi aren't even there to suck them in - could be part of the tip of an iceberg? Supply of bikes to the BSB teams was delayed. Then Michael Rutter had to cut short testing at Calafat due to problems which they didn't have replacement parts to fix. Are Ducati running into a parts/supply bottleneck?

I'm not so sure what to read into those figures - Look at them against the old benchmark times and they look more like they were riding on qualifiers rather than race tyres. If that's so and Keenan S had the good sense to spend the time sorting his race set up it puts things in a whole different light.
