So polarised, so inaccurate.
(Am I the only one thinking the postings always dip during school holidays)?

Look. You might or might not like who they are or what they say but get real.
Rossi is a gifted rider.
Stoner is a gifted rider.
They're both slightly in each other's heads. But nether of them are particularly susceptible to having mind games pulled on them.
They're both on immensely fast well matched machines with different strengths and weaknesses.
This is a good thing. It *might* mean we're going to see Moto GP escape from becoming the F1 procession which would ruin it for ever. I won't bet on that quite yet, but I'll hope its so.

It''d be good for everyone, even in a perverse way Shakey, if he *did* win at least one of the Oulton races. And either of the HM Hondas *could* do it. (Mind you so could Sykesy & Camier.... Or even Rutter again on the right day).

Its not the travel costs that're putting me off so much as the cost of the operation :-) Tho on the other hand the rules didn't stipulate female so.......

If in some lunatic parallel universe where riders of stunningly little talent occasionally got let out on Moto GP I had been let out in last Sunday’s swimathon and I’d had the choice between Traction Control & Bridgestones I’d have chosen the Bridgestones.

Not so clear why HM Plant aren't going. Prejudices aside, Halam & Crutchlow are both top-class riders and as their bikes would be specced-up more than the Ducati they wouldn't leave themselves open to a reverse problem of implying Shakey, rather than his bike, is the difference if they did well. ('Tho I suppose they might if they bombed - But that's not so likley). Money & trees problem maybe? With the building industry going in to freefall, HM Plant could be scratching in their pockets for loose change soon.

Its tactical. Put Shakey into WSBK and its loose loose for him. He does well and the shrieks the Ducati has too big an advantage in BSB become deafening. He doesn't do well and he's branded 'big fish small BSB pond'. Personally I reckon Shakey would do well enough to start the too big an advantage chorus off again and Airwaves ain't daft so........

I heard he also has a spotted tiger for sale, or it might have been a striped leopard :-)

What I would like to see is *all* the races (250s & 125s) available to watch on-line not just the main Moto GP race. Watching Moto GP is probably 75% of my BBC viewing so hey gimme something for my licence fee. Can't remember the last time I watched anything other than a film on Beeb 1 ... Oh, other than 30 minutes of Bonekickers on Tuesday before switching it off (god that was dire) and there's not usually much of interest to me on Beeb 2 other than MGP. ITV? ... I'd rather look at a blank screen and Ch4 should never have been trusted with BSB tho at least they screen the Simpsons. Make BBC pay as you go, that'll teach 'em :-)

I'm in agreement with Paddy G. If you ask me to chose between the BBC coverage and coverage interrupted by adverts I'll tell you to ask me a serious question. As for the commentary team - Back off & think. The only one not deeply into bikes is Charlie Cox. Well, my RVF riding missus enjoys listening to him. Not a biker but he does a good double act with Parrish by *acting* dim. + If you want more, good bike coverage on TV it needs more viewers. Hell, if meant having the commentary run by characters from the Muppet show or even Jerremy Clarkson - of course there's a difference :-) to draw folk in, well, that's a worthwhile trade innit?

Dovi won't go to Ducati. Unless Nicky Hayden pulls off some miraculous performances on the pneumatic HRC bike (its a long shot but he might)Dovi will be in black, white and orange with a bit of red next season.
