From what we've seen so far, mainly in WSB, the Ducatis have the edge in the corners and the Hondas (and for that matter the Suzukis) only have it in the straights so far. The last two years in BSB has seen a bit of a pattern developing with some tracks, like Snetterton HM Plant Honda tracks and others like Brands Airwaves Ducati ones, mostly reflecting the ratio of straights to turns. Are you expecting pretty much the same sort of pattern to continue? Or is it really simply that somewhere like say Cadwell’s a Leon Haslam track whilst maybe Mallory (Brands if Shakey wins Brands) is a Shakey Byrne one?

I dunno *why* the Bridgestone Qualifiers don't work generally or why they don’t work so well for Rossi specifically. But if I can figure out that Bridgestone got a mound of really good publicity when riders shod with their product won and another load when Rossi went over to ‘em, then so can Bridgestone. And if Rossi doesn’t perform well on their product they know a lot of their good publicity goes down the pan. So no way are Bridgestone going to *not* prioritise Rossi even if it means developing a tyre only he can use. Casey may still be number one favourite son, but profit depends on Rossi doing well too – if he doesn’t the magic of 'the Bridgestone factor'evaporates and sales fall.

That's better. Went to the site and got it to work. Not everything's as intuitive as it looks (click the triangle on a video and get lobbed to the home page and suchlike). But basically it works & when it does its rather good. One vid's an Italian bloke (exMotoX champion apparently) explaining basic MotoX technique who's probably the clearest exponent I've ever come across .... and that's after his Italian is overdubbed to American. The way he demos posture and balance is - well I was just blown away. Unfortunately it looks like I may now have to fork out for Mrs Hedgeholer to spend half a day on an 80cc crosser (she's wary of the full size ones cos they're almost bigger than she is)

In fact there could be some ungodly carnage in any of the first few corners. I hope there isn't, but it only takes one or two riders to go all 'Red mist' &/or suffer delusions of grandeur. That's true of any race really, but I dunno there's something about Jerez gives me sense a lot of 'em want to 'be seen'.
