RECOMMENDED COMMENT
22 agree.
2 disagree.
Refreshingly, Button was talking candidly, rather than the usual "PR Speak" so often trotted out nowadays. But inevitably the 'sour-grapes' brigade have got to snipe and sneer.
Well done Button - it's really good to have another British World Champion.

Barcelona test times - day two: 26 February.
So what will Webber's excuse be now? Vettel's never driven it before...mind you the times can't be too representative - Button's up in 9th!!!

Lewis not to blame for Swiss switch.
4 agree.
Where a driver lives should be of no more interest to the public than where we all live - it is an irrelevance, and has been going on for years. I can't recall anyone here complaining when Valentino Rossi decamped from Italy to London - alledgedly for the same reason - intrusion into private life. Private - that's the point. We all should have that right whether in the public spotlight or not. Anyone who disagrees is probably only a frustrated gutter-press hack anyway. 'Nuff said - move on.

Honda's car is still running - will hopefully complete it's lap in a hour or so - rumour is it will have lights fitted to allow them to complete a race!!!Ah Jenson - don't you wish you'd honoured your contract with Sir Frank? You could have been at the top of the times...

Honda bonus scheme a safe bet for '08?
2 agree.
If Honda F1 HR feel they have to offer cash incentives to their staff for wins, then they have the wrong folk there - I'm sure (Sir) Frank Williams, Ron Dennis and other team principals must be quietly smiling to themselves. The automobile corporations, if they want to win at racing, need to place their racing ambitions wholly in the hands of RACERS - like Williams and Dennis (witness the relative succeses of Williams vs Toyota), and do what they do best - build engines.

'Positive' Button: Brawn is 'the man'.
Far be it for me to cast aspertions, but could all Honda's woes be "karma" for Button for not honouring his contract to return to Williams??

Government enters 'sickening' racism row.
The guys who were either side of us came in with pallets (literally) of beer - we were across the track from Alesi's parked Ferrari - they were over the "fence" before the last lap was finished to get at the car - the marshalls were round it with extinguishers / axes - pandemonium - we were glad to get out without 'aggro'.

Maybe my comment was idiotic, maybe not - at least we are free to express opinions. Personally, the only time I have been physically frightened for my own, and my son's safety at a race was when we were at Silverstone in '92 - the influx of thugs/yobs on the back of the Mansell-mania - and we were right in the middle of it at Stowe - was an experience I hope I never repeat. Were they racist? I don't think so - just mindless, as is the recent happenings at Barcelona. Oh, and if you slag me off for this, please spell my name right!

I seem to recall the Spanish were less than complimentary about a certain Sir Francis Drake...fact is they cannot stomach losing, not with grace anyway.
