F1 » Raikkonen hopes for ‘welcome surprise’ at Monza

Absolutely nothing to do with this article, but as no other posts here, then hopefully will be seen. Sadly, Len Terry has died. His skills produced some of the best, AND most beautiful F1 cars to come into existence - witness the Lotus 33, the Indy winning 38 and the Eagle Weslake (maybe the most beautiful ever). Like Maurice Phillipe, he was responsible for putting Chapman's ideas and concepts into reality - no mean feat. Hopefully Crash will produce an appreciation of his life and career.

F1 » Boullier admits driver uncertainty ‘uncomfortable’

Button needs to make his own arrangements now, if not already done. There's no reason to think next year's car will be any better than this year's. Personally, I would like to see him replace Massa at Williams - apart from the symmetry of ending his F1 career where he started, I feel he can still offer them his experience and speed to complement Bottas. Massa's performances this year have, sadly, been disappointing, some through no fault of his own admittedly. But nevertheless his time is, I feel, up.

F1 » Hamilton blames front brake issue

benignlyindifferent: Lewis bashing aside, starting from the second spot on the grid has been the better grid position on a number of occasions. As for the glazed brake, he will have plenty of time to seat them in during morning practice.
There is no "morning practice" on race day, and cars are in parc ferme, so no changes are allowed, except for safety reasons.

107SS2009: sodesu, Time doesn't stand still, doesn't wait for anybody, with just one gifted championship in eight years I honestly don't blame him.
How 'gifted'? You aren't clutching at the Glock straw again are you?
Well Ferrari, rather than Glock, helped Hamilton more with their pitstop fiascos that season. But the fact is that he scored 1 more point than Massa.
The Ferrari snafu argument has merit, but I don't see a barrage of whinges about Ferrari's tactics gifting the WDC to SV two years later....
I quite agree. And I don't think for one moment Glock gifted anything - as I remember, he was still on slicks in the deteriorating conditions, and just trying to stay on the circuit.
