F1 » Was Button an intended kidnap victim in Brazil..?

i'm sorry, but it's just amazing how everyone got it so wrong... You know nothing about what's going on in this country, so don't even bother replying. Jenson says the B-Class isn't even a "flash car", and that there are flashier cars around these streets. Obviously he doesn't wander these streets very often. Do you actually think a Mercedes, any Mercedes, is a common sight in streets of... Brazil ?? This isn't Germany. Plus, the Interlagos circuit is located in one of the poorest (and therefore most dangerous) sights in Sao Paulo. What you'll see is a parade of old VWs, Fiats, Chevys and so on. No Mercedes Jenson, even this "cheap" one you were on. Papa Button thinks it was set-up. No, it wasn't. Anyone stupid enough to drive around THAT neighborhood in a Mercedes-Benz (yes, even the cheap one) WILL get robbed. It's just the natural course of events. And to close up Sir Jackie says it may have something to do with the drug cartel. May ? Really ? You can't pick up a quarter from the si

F1 » Hispania celebrates maiden F1 finish

i don't think it's any of their faults. especially Lotus seams to be a very serious and commited team (unlike others who've been on the grid for years, e.g. Renault) they didn't sell their cockpits (to guys such as Petrov, Chandhok, etc.) and they lead the new guys even though they only got the entry in september. years ago, it took at least 1 year of full preparation (including unlimited testing) for a team to really enter the series at a competitive level. these teams entered with about 6 months (or less for Lotus) preparation and hardly no testing...

F1 » Lotus F1 courts Petronas, Yoong

so yoong said he's been offered a job, and later said that it wasn't a 'driving job'?!?! what do they want him for, to change the tires?! surely him and fauzy will be offered this pathetic seat. he probably just realised what a stupid thing it was to let out the info, and tried to 'fix' it. that aside, this is really an unholy abomination, this lotus team... isn't there any one out there who can stop these posers to use the name lotus ? i sugest force malaysia... :p

F1 » Rossi 'too good' for F1, argues Sir Stirling Moss

Moss is THE BEST ! :) He's totally right about Rossi. He's just not a match for F1. I think the whole Rossi-F1 business is more about pressure from the FIA to have a guy like Rossi in there than his actual will. Bernie's always complaining about the drivers' difficult to 'market' themselves. The thing about Rossi is that he's a real thoroughbred racer. AND he's got the ability to market himself. No F1 guys have that.

F1 » Renault 'under investigation' for Singapore GP 'fix'?

This weekend at the Belgian GP, Rede Globo commentator Reginaldo Leme (the same that started the allegations) said that, while interviewing Renault personnel off-record, they showed themselves very concerned about the outcome of these events. Of course Nelsinho stinks, and spinning out of a race would be nothing new for him, but it seams that when you partner Flavio Briatore, strange things happen...

F1 » How the grid might look F1 2010 style...

Seems about right. I do disagree with a few ones though... I think McLaren will make a play for a german, most likely Rosberg. Heidfeld would replace him at Williams. Would be nice to se Hunter-Reay (or even Rahal) on USGP, but the smart money is on Summerton right now. I'd bet on Gene for Campos in stead of de la Rosa. di Resta should be on a Mercedes-powered car next year. He can be Sutil's teamate at Force India. Bourdais and Piquet, both seam to be in talks with Manor. I'd put one of them there. Most of it is just the way I think too. :)

F1 » USF1 'evaluating' American drivers – and Danica is on the list

I think of all these drivers the best fit would really be Rahal. Danica too, her results aren't that strong, but they're also as strong as any other american in Indy. But I really think they should go for a driver with a euro-background, even to avoid taking on drivers without motivation. Danica clearly doesn't care too much about F1. And Marco just freakin' stinks... Just look at his A1GP results. JV'd be nice too. Oh, and did someone there say Tony Stewart ? :? He's weighing like 500 pounds... wouldn't even fit in a formula today, barely fits his Impala...
