Hi, I think even some Vale fans still don't understand his genius, on & off track. This comment only a few minutes after the end of season is another proof. For him 2010 has already begun & already he has taken the first blow ! He wants Jorge out because being team mate he can't use all of his artillery, mental games off the track, the nastier ones, and eventual dirty ones on track. In another team he can use whatever way he wants to disturb Jorge without troubling the Team + Jorge will have to adapt to whatever new team & bike. Jorge is brutally good but he'll need a few races to be up there. Vale puts everybody focussing on him & Casey & Jorge on the spot.

To Samas Sorry but absolutely no disrespect was meant about Provini, far from it. I would have love to see racing from that era, sorry wasn't even in my dad's mind... It was just an example among other well known hatreds. I was just pointing out 2 things : 1/ that 2 strong team mates rarely works together peacefully. And not only in racing or even sport, it's true also on a rock band for example. 2/ That when a factory has to take sides, it usually goes with the one that can make the bike evolve. PS : in his book, Jim Redman rates the 63 season and Provini's challenge as one of the hardest. Cheers

a word for clown slayer, you should remove "slayer" from your nickname. You don't understand a god damn thing about racing.

for Ex Rossi Fan. That's what I was saying earlier in this comment section, even some fans of Vale don't understand his genius. And if you have followed him since 96 I don't understand why this comment upset you so much (and other ex fans), you should know better by now. For all the ex fans, sail away, you were never fans anyway, you just like to see him win, you don't deserve to be part of it.

...continue.. The game is world domination, at every level, racing, commercial, industrial, not playing Trivial Pursuit with some friends, and even that can become ugly sometimes. I am 1 of the biggest fans of Vale on the planet but I don't give a flying **** about his personality, I don't know him, nor does most of the people around here. What we see is the racer, with only one thing in his mind, winning as much as possible, finding every bit of advantage wherever is possible. And be sure that whatever will happen in 2011 is already decided, 2010 will only serve to resolve the bits and details on the massive multiple contracts. PS : can't wait to see the 990 back again

A word to Rawdawg. Vale 2000 NSR was developped(Hum..) by Criville & crew, not doohan. He crashed at Jerez, 3rd GP of 1999. That's why it was handling so bad in 2000, until mid season when HRC decided to go with Vale & Burgess imput. And from then on.. Historically strong team mates almost never work in racing. When prost went to Williams in 1993 he had a clause in his contract preventing Senna to come along. Remember Read & Ivy, Gardner & Doohan.. Ubbiali & Provini hated each other at Mv, Masetti & Duke at Gilera. Provini went to Morini & Masetti to Mv & both never won a Champ again. Each time factory choose the rider able to ride AND develop the bike not only ride it...Continue...

1st, I'm amazed about the animosity around here.. To "JK":How do you think Yam develop the bike if not with the precious informations from Vale & Jerry ? To "Grantr": Max only won 2 in 2002 : Brno when part of the tyre of Vale blew up when he was on him like a Hawk. And in Sepang when Ukawa blocked Vale for almost 10 laps when Max was escaping.. The importance of Vale & Jerry to Yam can only be denied by a lobotomized donkey. Yam was on a run of 18 races without a win,19 months before the historic win at Welkom AND 11 years without a Champ. Haters or lovers of Vale, enjoy while he's here (till he beats the Ago record..), the racing will never be the same without him. Live Fast die free!
