And this is coming from the man who called all the team bosses loonies?

I personally think that Max Moseley has no intention of standing down in October - he's just tried to get the teams tied up in contracts as quick as possible so that they can't threaten a breakaway again.

I hope Franz has a speedy recovery. The poor guy has had a disasterous year between this and the Pau Safety Car. Get well soon Franz, I hope we see him back next year as he seems like a genuinely nice guy who loves his racing

The cars looked quite racey twards the end of qualifying with it getting dark and all the city lights on. Whilst Macau isn't really suitable for an evening race race, I wonder how long before the WTCC have a night/ twilight race. Well done to the brits, I hope Thompson and his car are fighting fit for Sunday

Nice idea - but I can't see it being much of a sucess. There's 1 clash with the BTCC at Oulton Park, 2 with the STCC and 2 of the races are also on back to back weekends with the BTCC so any BTCC teams that are interested have to gamble on having very little repair work to do on back to back weekends in order to get the cars to the track for the following weekend. They should of tagged it onto 2 or 3 European WTCC (or even 1 BTCC, 1 STCC and 1 DTC) events and then had their stand alone event in Austria to finish the series off.

Although I wouldn't like to say either way - Pat Symonds doesn't really strike me as the kind of person who would do anything like that and play dirty if it really was planned, although stranger things have happened - but I would be surprised if Pat was involved.

Once Reidy gets up to speed with the BMW we're going to have some seriously fantastic/ manic racing. I'd pay just to watch Collard, Reidy and Neal as if those 3 are close to each other we're going to have some serious panel bashing. Very good move by WSR as Reidy will defend as if his life depends on it to help Turks and he won't be afraid of getting stuck in with the Vauxhalls or anyone else either.

I agree with above - the refuelling ban is probably going to reduce overtaking if anything. I don't like the Valencia track, it would be better if Barcelona and Valencia shared the Spanish Grand Prix, and they allowed another track that was better for overtaking into the schedule

For me, Jason's drive in Race 3 at Knockhill was the performance of the weekend. His move on Turkington at Snetterton was dodgy and I wondered if was the start of him being rough, but his performance at Knockhill was fantastic, I am really pleased that he managed to find a drive for thsi year, the last 3 rounds are going to be great viewing

Unfair call I think really. A fine or something would have been fair enough, but to ban the team is a bit much.

Another car on the grid is a good thing, considering the current economic climate, and also it makes a nice change that a team like Engstler and their sponsors are able to help develop talent where the driver doesn't have to bring huge amount of sponsorship with them - when you consider the amount of sponsor money people like Porteiro, D'Aste, Hernandez etc have had to bring with them to get their drives.
