McLaren say,

"We had no choice but to appeal due to the importance for the matter and its precedence."

They set the precedence with the spy ordeal, the manufacturers points where taken away but the drivers where spared because they have little control over what the team does and shouldnt be punished for the mistakes of the team. That is what the FIA ruling said so that LH and FA could keep their points. The precedence is set, now deal with it. They get the same ruling you got RD, that still leaves Kimi as champ. Learn to control your team and maybey you will get a championship. RD is such a ****head.

As for messing with the results of the race, I don't think that would be fair to any of the drivers that drove a fair race. Unfortunatley Renaults actions really did impact the way the race results ended and that is very hard. If you remeber Massa had a comanding lead over Hamilton which could have remained through the duration of the race. If it played out in that fashion then Massa would have won the championship based by one point over Hamilton. But as I feel, I think the WDC should stand now because even if the race went on fairly there is no way to know that the rest of the season would have been the same. Hind sight is always 20/20. Remove the cheaters(all of them)!

I agree with you BOJ, if Alonso has had any input in this then he needs to be removed from the sport as well as the rest of the guilty individuals. What I don't understand is if you give certain individuals immunity then whats to stop them from acting in this heinous way again. This is the same team that was involved in its own version of the Spy-Gate debacle and these are the same senior memebers that had to stand in front fo the WMSC then as well. I believe the punishment should be complete Expulsion from the sport with immediacy. That would include Nelshino as well. All individuals that were involved need to be made accountable for this. Cheaters are cheaters always and forever!

I can't wait to see the race. I would imagine the Force India is going to get walked on the start since the others have KERS and it is a long straight to turn one. I think Ferrari are looking great so far considering Kimi looks like about 6 laps more fuel than the Mclarens and Fisi is on a one stopper. The stratagies are going to be awesome to watch in this race. Crash: You need to update your Force India name, You still have it as Force India Ferrari which they are not.

He has talent, that I will admit but the one that is very impressive is Alonso. He has ataken and absolute dog of a car at the begining of the season and helped Renault turn it into a competative car again. Not only that, when it was a peice of **** car he still forced it around the track with style. I dont hate Hamilton and I am a Ferrari Fan but I am very impressed with Alonso's pace as of late. I don't want to see Hammi win but I also dont want to see Massa win, I am bothered by his attitude and arrogacne as of late and I dont think he deserves to be in a Red machine. But that is just my opinion and I am sure I'll take heat for it. Oh well

Well this is just my views but I will share them. I think all the penalties should be taken away, but by taking them away they should actually make the run off areas more challenging for a driver. If you watch(not singling Ham out) Hamilton drove so wide and never lost any speed and re-entered right beside Alo. I think the real problem is that there really is no Penalty (damage or gravel wise) for going off track. In my oppinion Good racing needs a lot of aggression on track and a lot of guys with a serious desire to win, but I think the object of the race is to be the fastest on the track. When you have an off it is supposed to cost you. Let the track penalize mistakes. JMHO :?

Hey there racing fans, rather than complain on here I acctuall went to F1.com and placed a complaint in there contact email section. I am n ot sure if it will do any good but I am letting all of you know so that maybe you will do the same and F1.com will get so many emails that they will ahve to hear us the fans for onece and start taking control back and give us a competative sport again. As I wrote to them, I am sure Fangio, Hill Senna, Prost, Mansel and all of the legends would not stand for the FIA bullSh t at all and I think we as fans should all blast the FIA as well. I tried to write the FIA but they have no email site listed so they obviously could care less about us fans.

Amen Powerline, you are 100% correct. Take the stupid politics out of racing and put the competition back. And for Zero's comment, I will agree and also add that I dont think there is a driver out ther today that can do what those drivers did in the past. I will give Hamilton is good by todays standards but if by chance there was a way to bring all of the greats back from their glory days and put them in equal, non tech cars Hamilton wouldn't stand a chance. Hamilton is very good at overtaking these days but in days of old guys died a lot more in the sport and still took chances, from that standpoint their balls were bigger than any Hamilton or anyother from now will ever have.

Hey Dan H- Great point on the teams no longer being alowed to use technology as a chance to succeed. I think that all temas should be alowed to interperet the rules an develope cars that introduce new devices or technology. What they should do is ban teams using one anothers tech, for example McLaren has the J-damper and was instructed that in order to use it they must share how it works with the rest of the teams. If lets say they developed it first then it is their secret and theirs alone and then lets say Ferrari gets to keep there moving floor and Renault uses there Mass Dampener they had in 2006 and so on. Allow inovation to dictate passing, not equal cars with uniform design. JMHO.

Rob - I dont see how Kimi has let the team down this year. Let me recall, he saved the car from hitting the wall at Monaco and the unfortunately had a racing incedent which saw him have no where to go but to hit Glock, then he was hit by Hamilton in the pits, then the next race he had a broken ewhaust pipe which took him from the checker to second, then the next race his chances were botched by horrible pit strategy, the race after that he blew a motor while setting fastest lap after fastest lap, yet again the nest race saw him get screwed by Ferrari's bad strategy decision. And for Singapore, he had n o choice to push hard after a botched pitstop strategy again. He is still a great driver

I personally would love to see a Alonso?Kubica pairing. I truly believe they would be great together. and to all the Hamilton fans, it seems there are a lot more of the drivers on the circut now that respect Alonso more than they do Hammy. So just maybe part of the conflict from last year was part of Hammies doing and his and Ron's arrogance. I also would love to know how the Hamilton fans can say that he is better than Alonso. If you are true fans of the sport you will remember that Alonso came out of now where with the Renault to beet Shummi. And he did it two years in a row. That is far more monumental that anything Hamilton has done yet in the sport.
