McLaren say,

"We had no choice but to appeal due to the importance for the matter and its precedence."

They set the precedence with the spy ordeal, the manufacturers points where taken away but the drivers where spared because they have little control over what the team does and shouldnt be punished for the mistakes of the team. That is what the FIA ruling said so that LH and FA could keep their points. The precedence is set, now deal with it. They get the same ruling you got RD, that still leaves Kimi as champ. Learn to control your team and maybey you will get a championship. RD is such a ****head.

Is it just me or do you all think the pics are crappy. The flash glare is blurring most of the angles. I personally like the Ferrari but also have to say that because the pics for the Ferrari were crystal clear. They need to get some better lighting guys in there and take some new snap shots. As for them making Alonso out to be a refugee, I can't see where anyone could derive that from this article. I cant wait for the start of this season, March can not come soon enough. :?

THis is going to be interesting, there are so many differences between the McLaren and the Ferrari, I hope the rest of the field has as many differences. I love the new Ferrari and did you guy's (and girls) notice there are no Viking horns on the McLaren. I wonder if BMW is going to abandon them as well. I love the new nose on the Ferrari. As for Marie, I support everyone having their opinions but for my opinion Kimi is the best and will be for quite some time. I do like Alonso's driving style though, I am just afraid he may be a little to agressive for a lack of TC. We shall se though, just remember we all have rights to our opinions. I cant wait for March :)

I have been waiting for this going crazy. We are closer and closer to March. I have a gut this is going to be a great season for F1. I hope the competition is close and the fights are agressive on track, lets get back to competative racing. Happy new year to all.

Thanks for the update Perry. You would think with roughly $393 million they should be right behind Ferrari in the manufacturers title. The bosses at Toyota should stop being so proud and realize no matter how much money you throw at something, there is still a method to winning. I appretiate that they did amazing things in the automotive world by doing it their way. But in F1 cutting edge is what counts, not the ability to copy and streamline. They need to be inovators and with that budget they should have been for a couple of years now. I say two years is to long, start now.

"We studied our performances in 2007 and we believe we have found areas where we have to improve. They beleive they have found areas to improve. They need to stop being politicaly correct. They were beat by their customer teams last year. They need to start acting as though nothing but first will do and then they will start winning. I am not sure but assuming the manufacturers size I would think their Racing budget is only beaten by Ferrari and McLaren. They should have been in the front pack a long time ago. They need to go the route of Honda and get a proven leader like Ross Brawn and let him build the team how he sees fit. Then they will have a chance.

I dont see their point, the article was not slandering in any way and I am not sure of the press guidelines over there but in the states that falls under the fredome of press act and the freedom of speech act. The FIA realy are getting petty and rediculous with their "we are the only say" attitude. Lets get a air governing body for F1, then we the fans can enjoy the racing again.

I guess McLaren should have threatened to pull out of F1 then, maybe they would have got off with just a hand slap as well. How can you penalize one team for an infracion and not the other for the same infraction. There is something wrong here, could it be that Bernie and the Reg are buddies and since the both co own some soccer club in englan, Bernie would be taking from himself if he penalized the Reg. Bernie needs to go and real soon, then the racing will be fair again. Oh, and they should forget fines or penalties for spying, it happens still and has happened for years. That is part of racing and should be left alone.

I thought Schuey was supposed to be running at Jerez? I would love to see the kid against him. I agree he is fast but would he be able to compete with the champ?

with that said, I do belieive the FIA and F1 did the right thing with that race, there is no reason for the track to change the layout of the track just for Michelin. Michelin ran there on the same layout the past four years, why all of the sudden didn't they get it right that time. As for the regrooving, I am sure Michelin was mad aware of the surface change, afterall, that is not some small thing they do to a track, that costs a fortune and does alter the surface. Michelin brought a softer compound to that race which made the sidewalls flex more in the turns, their bad. Not Bridgstones, FIA's, F1's or the fans fault. As much as I was mad I would go see F1 race at Indy again. USA needs a GP
