McLaren say,

"We had no choice but to appeal due to the importance for the matter and its precedence."

They set the precedence with the spy ordeal, the manufacturers points where taken away but the drivers where spared because they have little control over what the team does and shouldnt be punished for the mistakes of the team. That is what the FIA ruling said so that LH and FA could keep their points. The precedence is set, now deal with it. They get the same ruling you got RD, that still leaves Kimi as champ. Learn to control your team and maybey you will get a championship. RD is such a ****head.

Well done today Alonso, I am a Ferrari and Kimi fan so I am not and never have been on the Alonso ban wagon but I must say he drove a aggressive race today. Hamilton is going to be cahmpion one day, but he should have driven a smart conservative race in China and today and he would be champ. His being a rookie cost him the WDC. I am sure he is going to learn from this and know next time when he should push and when he should be a little conservative.

I think F1 needs to re-evaluate their responsibility to their fans and not to their teams and drivers. I am a huge Ferrari fan but have been frustrated buy the calls that have been made to please Ferrari as well as the call made to please other teams. **** the Teams and Drivers, do what is right for the sport and the fans. We lost our US GP because of MM and BE and their ignorance to us the fans. I as well as many others spent our money and vacation time to spectate in the 2005 GP only to be insulted by the race due to the ignorance of the powers that be in F1. As I said and all of us has been saying, **** the teams and drivers, do what is right for the fans.

I think we all knew this is the way it was going to end. F1 realy needs to get back to just the "Basics", racing and fan entertainment. Let the teams test the envelopes a little and let the drivers be independant of each other. I think the traction control ban next year should make things a little more exciting again. I think it is going to bring back some of the over taking and exciting drives we used to see. Bring back pure hard core race cars. ;)

Hey Gumpy_Doctor. I think you are the Fascist person here, there has yet to be any remarks made from the Italians about the persons race and it seems the only people here that are talking about race is the ones that must be insecure about a black man being champ. As to Perry, Tires is how we spell it in the states, I accept your spelling and understand F1 is a global sport, lets not make it petty. As for Japan, the tire decision was one hour before the race and Ferrari and the FIA aknowlege there was a break down in comunication sice the didt't get receipt of ferrari receiving it till 8 minutes after the start. :? McLaren broke season long rules. :?

Hey Perry, There was a penalty. Ferrari was forced to come in and change tires which costed them their position. And considering they were 3rd and 4th and ended up 19th and 20th after the stop it was far worse than a 10 spot grid penalty. McLarren are aware of the rules and blatently ignored them. Japan was a last minute email, not a rule that has stood all year and been touched on at the begining of the season. I say treat Golden Boy like they did Ferrari and make him come in off the start and loose all his possitions.

ZZR Daz- I also agree on your point, the boy is a great driver but can be brutal on tires. I think Toyota concern is valid though since they do have Jarno Truli who is considered one of the smoothest drivers on the circut. This may be Bernies way of keeping it exciting down to the wire. ;) Adrian- welcome to my world, endless sundays of waking up at 4:30 in the morning when the races are held on the other side of the planet. But hey, love your dedication, a true fan :)

and since Ferrari dominated at Melbourne with their movable floor one would have to assume had it not been taken away from them mercedes would not have the lead they have. At Melbourne mercedes had nothing for Ferrari, so they cheated and used the 780 page document to their advantage and revealed on of Ferrari's secrets. Then RD says they never used the documents to their advantage

I hope the Kid gets humiliated in Brazil, him trying to compare himself to Kimi is rediculous. He is not the Ice-man and is in no way as clam and collected as Kimi. He went of ranting when FA ran him wide then waves his hands around like a little girl when he drove his car into the gravel. He also cried at Monaco when he felt he wasn't getting #1 treatment. Lewis is ackting like a child, not a professional racer. Kimi has never been vocal, even when he was with mercedes and they couldn't give him a reliable car. He then kept his cool like he has now. Kimi deserves to be the cahmp as well as Ferrari. If mercedes didn't get the 780 document they would not have know about Ferrari's floor.

I wonder wether Ferrari would be leading both championships (driver and manufacture) if McLaren hadn't :? cheated and taken Ferrari's movable floor advantage from them. If you watch any replay of the Melbourne race you see how Dominant Ferrari were and then some how :? McLaren got wind of their aero advantage and took it away from them. I think like most, we feel this is a tainted championship and we will have to see how it plays out next year. I do agree with almost everyone that LH is an amazing driver but to many outside events played to his favor this year.
