10 agree.
This is totally the wrong thing to do - i am in total disbelief.
This is the worst news i've had since i found out my wife was pregnant again!
Seriuosly though, motogp with toby, julian and randy is the be all and end all.
The BBC coverage is at best shoddy. Their presenters (with the exception of stavros) have no real clue about it, whereas eurosports trio live and breath it. You feel that they are part of the scene, they are friends with all the paddock. The BBC lot could just as well be in a studio in shepherd's bush commentating on it. They also present it to the lowest knowledgeable viewers - it is very frustrating to watch.
Dorna have it wrong - they will loose viewers over this.

Terrorist fears lead to Dakar cancellation.
1 agrees.
1 disagrees.
what a terrible shame - for all concerned; competitors and viewers alike this race has had it's own tragedies in the past so to cancel it now must mean the threat is real. Giving in to the terrorists? well could you imagine how much bigger a news story it would be if they got what they want and kidnapped or killed one of the racers?? I just hope this is not the end for the Dakar Damo

Q&A: Leon Camier.
2 agree.
1 disagrees.
There seems to be real excitement about Leon and his future. At the start of this years BSB he was the bright star but he faded in the mid season and then he had his crash. Next year he has to capitalise on his opportunity. He has a respected team mate to try and beat. Hopefully his past exploits with Chaz and Stoner will add to his standing (and also his rides in the suzuka 8hr. Leon Camier, Leon Haslam & Bradley Smith are our future in bike racing

Melandri suffers 'demanding' debut.

I said before that stoner got lucky this year - the likes of Capirossi don't turn into an also ran over night. And stoner made him look like an also ran. Rossi has taken a risk chosing the brig stones (as mamola calls them!) but melandri stands to loose more if he can't lay a glove on stoner all year.

2008 tyre rules announced.
2 agree.
I agree that Casey is a deserved winner, just like Nicky last year. The simple fact is he scored more points than anyone else. He struck gold, he hit the rich stream. The combination fell into place for him - no more than Damon Hill years ago and Lewis this year. Motogp is the best sport on the planet (and i'm not a recent convert!) It is because the fundamental rules are simple; one hour to qualify (no limits or superpole etc) and the race is even simpler - tyres, fuel green light - off you go lads, first one back is the winner. It's expensive yes but while it's popular there's money avaiable. They're about to take it to heartland USA next season - they can't afford to mess that up D.

Dorna should have put this rule back to the way it was. They have only gone half way back to save their embarressment One of the best things about motogp is it's simplicity; no stupid rules like F1 This is the single reason why this season has been as it has. Stoner can attribute his championship to it. De Puniet's relative success is the same Rossi and Capirossi don't become 'also rans' over night. Bridgestone have been improving for the last few years - but this rule really did it for them. D.

Bono's bike for auction at NEC.
4 agree.
Marc, hey look, i wish i was earning his money! Who knows how much he has or has given away. But my point is you pick on him because he protects his money; what? none of the others i listed do? but it's ok for them to ask for your money. Terry Wogan, who will be on Children in need next week, doesn't attract any stick for earning loads from our TV license - what's his tax fiddle?? he owns half of Scotland! These people are on a much grander scale to you & me -it's like us putting £20 to riders for health, feeling righteous about it and then buying fags or DVD's in the pub or not paying VAT to the plumber. Anyway, funny how a motorsport site has become a debate on Bono & Tax! over & out!

Bono's bike for auction at NEC.
2 agree.
there's another one i don't need to worry about keep 'em comimg D. ps if he did give away a hundred million dollars - he'd be the 100 million dollar prick in your eyes. Didn't Schumacher do it a few years ago-is he thought of any better? you either like the person or not - does the feeling only apply to mccartney and bono or is it the same for geldof, Wogan(children in need), i dunno - robbie williams (anything he can attach himself to), anyone who sang at live aid, or bruce springsteen, or the beastie boys, ewan mcgregor and charlie boorman is there some one in this list you do like - but it's ok for them? I know, lets get them all to stop and we'll give more money to Riders for health???
